Guest guest
I received this email this afternoon. Does anyone have any comments about it that would indicate it might not be good for you. Harvey - " Sue " " networkers " Wednesday, October 22, 2008 4:29 PM For those who are desparate For those who are desperate Birdseed is edible, and is super cheap! A large bag will last for a couple of months. And it is good for you! Better than bread or noodles, for sure. And so much less expensive! Rinse the birdseed in a strainer, and then soak over night in the fridge. Then you can cook it the next day until it is soft enough for you. Add whatever spices and herbs you like to make it tasty. Good with butter and honey. If you cook it long enough and get it mushy, you can make apple deserts and other things with it. You can also use it for sprouts. Birdseed keeps for a long time without refrigeration and is handy to have just in case of emergency. You can even get many bags before the price goes up, and keep it in a metal garbage can outside. Plastic ones can be eaten through by critters... And you can also plant the seeds. The millet grows close together on stalks, and is easy to harvest. Get some while you still can. It will be too late soon. Sue
