Diabetes strips

I buy the strip in the pharmacy. I have tried to find them on the Internet, but they must have them sewed up. I have not been to the doctor I have an appt. in Nov. I bought the machine and just started doing the sug test. I am not going to be stuck with diabetes, I can think of nothing worse. I also do not want the Dr. telling me I have Diabetes. at least give me a chance to get rid of it first. So I wanted to get straight with the sug before I went to the dr. I have been eating carefully. then It dawned on me that the do that A1c test and I cannot change it. I can still eat right. In a nutrition class for diabetes I heard one man say it was his last hope because they might take his drivers license. That is an incentive to eat right. I just only go once a year and that is to see what the blood says. I am not into medicine. I just do not think it is a good idea. At one time I had a faulty Liver Function test and it was 91. I tried the pills it was Atenolol, but just do not like the plan so did it myself with Enriching Gifts Plant Enzymes, without even doing it right and missing days it went down to 47. I felt so good as I had did it, I then did it right and next trip in about 2 mo. it was 36. Of course the doctor says that is not what did it. He has his idea and I know what did it. Plant enzumes. The Dr. had told me I needed to lose like 60 lbs. and it was the only way I could get it right Lose the weight. I could not, and stayed too heavy for about 2 or 3 years with the faulty liver, They should pay attention when something turns up like different, there could be something in it. I do not thi nk Atenolol is good medicine for me. I found several different thing s to do, one was slicing celery about 1/4 " and then blend it to juice and drink it. no salt and drink water and watch the salt which means no tap water. I seldom think of it now. and like last night it was 137 over 91 and I took 1/4 of an Atenolol this morning it is125 over 78. The med may be ok if it was not 25 mg. twice a day. Wen I first got it I cut in in half and it worked perfectly. Hi Sharon, If you don't see a reason for taking the medication, then

what is the reason you are taking it? Doctors are not always right,

we live in our bodies and we know what we feel like. Their pills do

not always work the way they should for every person. For many years,

I was a do as the doctor says. I was not getting better. I learned

how to listen to my body, learned what it needed and proceeded from

there. I wish you all the best. Edith

You are an inspiration to us all........

I have an underactive thyroid which isn't responding to the Thyroxine I am on, they just keep increasing it and I'm now on 250mcg a day, there is talk still of increasing it. I keep saying I'm going to look into what I'm eating and I think I need to increase my Iodine levels, but haven't got round to it, perhaps now I will, anyone any suggestions?
