In this instance the central issue was a distant SPECIFIC EVENT that needed to be collapsed. Phobias originate from diverse causes and it is essential to study articles like this to expand your understanding. Email Joanne and Visit her website Featured Article #2: Bridge phobia fades in one session: Pay particular attention to how Claudia Schecter from Canada works with her client and continually tests her results using visualization and the actual circumstance. Well done. I've long held that sports performance can be limited by the athlete's emotional issues and this case is a glowing example of that idea. Note how many such issues are successfully resolved. Email John Past Articles from the EFT Website Using EFT with massage: Suzanne Zacharia, a massage therapist in the UK, shows how she combines EFT with massage to achieve impressive results. To me, massage is a natural place to inject EFT because the therapist already has full access to the body. I think massage therapists could call it "emotional massage." In her words, "As well as helping with my massage clients' immediate emotional and physical needs, another interesting phenomenon is emerging. The EFT is somehow motivating them to take real action to help themselves in other ways." Multiple Sclerosis and more--Persistent tapping brings big EFT success in 4 months: Sophia Provides us with persuasive evidence regarding the skillful and persistent use of EFT for serious physical issues. Her client, "Harry," was both disabled and suicidal prior to doing EFT. After 4 months, however, he is working at a full time job and is symptom free. Nonetheless, his tapping routine is maintained to help assure his continued good health. Many thanks to Sophia for her persistence and artistry here. A clever "Reading" version of the Movie Technique: Maya de Vries from Germany adapts a version of our highly regarded Movie Technique to help her with reading an emotionally charged letter. Basically, Maya reads the letter and stops as she runs into charged parts. On each part she taps until the charge falls to zero. This brief account also illustrates two of our other principles e.g. "taking the edge off" and cognitive shifts. Evidence that an emotional issue caused Heart Arrhythmia: Paul Cutright helps "Sally" get relief from Heart Arrhythmia by using insight and flexibility to uncover an apparent emotional cause. He asked her, "If there was an emotional element to your symptoms, what do you think it might be?" and began a journey to resolve some painful old memories. As he concludes, "The last I spoke with her a couple of days ago, Sally's arrhythmias were completely gone." Quality session for a fear of flying insects: Tam Llewellyn-Edwards of the UK performs a first class session with his client for what was originally thought to be a fear of moths. Due to Tam's insights it was soon discerned that it was actually a fear of all flying insects. Please note his approaches to the problem and particularly the manner in which he tests his work. Alcoholic eliminates desire for alcohol by addressing "state" ness: This instructive article by an alcoholic discusses his fight with alcohol and his unsuccessful uses for EFT in this regard. However, with persistence he finally landed on an issue that (for him) allowed EFT to completely resolve his desire. He says, "I spent so much time concentrating on the negatives and the side issues of alcohol, I didn't realize it was the "state" ness of desire that was the key all along. I have not had a drink since, nor the desire. I take each day as it comes now but without the fear."
