Listening to an interview here this morning was interested to hear that

Melamine in the milk in China occurred before June 2008 - quite a while

before the Olympic Games and this was officially known and kept quiet.

Yes we seemed to instinctively know that 'they' knew about the melamine in

milk before the 2008 Games.

It affects babies very quickly as in damaging kidneys and kidney stones. My

question has been what does it do to the adult bodies.... and so far I have

not found much about that. I have not even seen any comments by Olympic

Teams officials as to possible contamination at the Olympic Villiage. One

thing I have found - cannot remember where tho.... some countries official

saying ??? percent of melamine was 'acceptable' in normal everydaty food

products for human consumption........

I want ZERO percent for our home consumption.

Tiz time we all woke up and stopped buying pre packaged foods, make on

production lines, with added (either deliberate or accidental) fillers.

Hubbie and I attended a church social last Friday ...... BBQ followed by

family games night.

One of the games was to look at advertisements for food / car/ everyday type

products ... all names of the products had been deleted from the posters,

and you had to guess the brand name of the products etc...... The ONLY one

we could personally identify was for a particular brand of toilet

paper......... we failed miserably with the others. Afterwards I

rationalised our failure down to the fact that we shop ONLY the outside of

the market. Fresh fruits and vegetable, meats and some in the dairy cabinet

for hubbie. We just do not go up and down the isles and purchase packaged or

prepared processed foods........
