Guest guest
I have horrible, painful indigestion where I think acid or air gets trapped in my upper chest area. It feels exactly like a heart attack. I am taking a relatively new drug called aciphex and it has helped tremendously however, sometimes it doesn't work and I think I am going to faint with the pain. Any suggestions would help. thanks
Guest guest
Drink a large glass of cold water - preferably not your town water and you can also put firm pressure one inch either side of your belly button - that should clear your pain - make sure you are not constipated. Either or both of the above methods work. Aciphex will not help in the long term and once established you may not be able to stop taking them. Apart from anything else it will stop you digesting your food properly. This will help the intestinal tract to heal. You could also have a hiatus hernia. I had that and the pain was phenomenal. I was on a very strict diet for a whole year but it did help. for the pain I took Belladona 200c and with in a very short time that pain was gone. The diet is very important. Also do not eat after 5 in the afternoon so you have time to digest the food you have eaten before you go to bed. Edith
Guest guest
Edith - you have to look at the physiology of the whole picture - the drugs are not a cover up at all - they just approach things in a way that is not beneficial in the long term for the patient Jane - " edefreedom1945 " <edefreedom1945 Saturday, October 11, 2008 6:58 PM Re: acute indigestion/heart Gracie acute indigestion/heart I have horrible, painful indigestion where I think acid or air gets trapped in my upper chest area. Touching my abdomen was so extremely painful it was beyond words. I ran the gauntlet of doctors medicine and it did not heal me. when I struck out on my own, did a lot of reading, learned to understand what was happening to me, I was able to help myself. I am so grateful for this self learned knowledge. It is there for anyone that wants to take the time to read and learn. It is not something that you can learn in a few weeks but months or years. This pain that is being discussed could be a lot of different things. Gall bladder, hiatus hernia, ulcer, etc etc. all of the afore mentioned are terribly painful. One tea spoon to be mixed in hot water 2 ounces & gulped. It will give relief within 15 mts. I dont know in which country you live. If you give the details, I may be able to find out where it will be available. There will not be any side effect. I am sure you will get better with this medicine. Guest guest
Ann K.<^..^> I used to have this same problem and I went to a doctor in the small town I lived in, at the time. Fortunately she believed in more than one avenue of healing. I was told, "Do Not drink liquids with your meals (a few sips of water are OK but not a glass of milk, tea, orange juice or coffee). Do not drink for 45 min. before your eat a meal, during or for 45 min. after eating." Even though I thought she was crazy - I did it. When I follow this regimen, I do not have indigestion at all (unless I eat chili). I really thought I had an acid stomach and was told this all my life. Sometimes I could taste the acid in my mouth. However, now I know that I was diluting the acid I needed to completely digest my food by drinking a glass of Ice tea or water with my meals (as I had all my life). I rarely need anything to help my digestion now and I have not had any more heart pains. The gas that results from undigested food can be horribly painful and mimic a heart attack. Before Dr. A told me about diluting the acid in my stomach, I went 2x to the ER just sure I was having a heart attack. I had thorough workups for heart pain or problems with my heart and there just weren't any. The ER docs would just pat me on the head , send me home and told me I was having a Panic Attack. So, If you want to try limiting the liquid intake before, during and after meals, its really simple and costs nothing. You will soon know if its too much acid or not enough. (I am assuming you have seen a physician to rule out heart problems). Hope it works for you. --- On Sat, 10/11/08, greenparrotniagra <arumugam39 wrote: greenparrotniagra <arumugam39 Re: acute indigestion/heart Date: Saturday, October 11, 2008, 7:27 AM , "Gracie" <grabec wrote:>> I have horrible, painful indigestion where I think acid or air gets trapped in my upper chest area.
