Guest guest
Ok, I need some input here. My sister has chronic kidney stones. And, before you go saying stuff like drink more water, get alkaline/acidic, etc., she's tried everything. Her diet is pretty good, she drinks lots of water, she even does regular kidney cleanses. Her doctor has basically just told her that this is the way her life is going to be so you might as well deal with it. Well, if you've ever had kidney stones, you know that " just dealing with it " isn't the easiest thing to do. It's driving her crazy. Does anyone deal with this or have any suggestions? I just can't settle for the fact that this is what her body does and there's no changing that. I mean, the stones are the spikey kind so every time she passes one it tears up her kidneys, bladder and ureter. I believe that lab tests have shone that they are mostly made up of calcium, if that helps.
Guest guest
Probably she needs more magnesium in the body. Calcium is not used by the body unless mag is also there. The excess calcium just gets dumped by the body without the mag, so have her try taking magnesium. Some people have a hard time taking the oral kind because it gives them diarrhea, but she can soak in magnesium added to bath water, or even make up a mag spray, spray it on her body, let it soak in or a half hour or so, and then shower. There are many magnesium "oils" on the market, most are expensive. They are called oil though they are not an actual oil, but feel thicker than water. Nigari is a magnesium flake that is used to make tofu. Sometimes you can find this in oriental food markets, but it can also be ordered on line. Mix up some nigari flakes with water and you have mag oil, much cheaper than buying it as magnesium oil. You can read more about mag oil (and buy it if you so choose) at www.globallight.net and www.ancientoil.com I know the first link is right, not sure about the second. That company is ancient something. Maybe www.ancientminerals.com ? Samala, Renee ---- I believe that lab tests have shone that they are mostly made up of calcium, if that helps. Guest guest
I have chronic kidney stones, and I have been using Chanca Piedra, an extract made by Raintree Nutrition, for the last four years, and IT WORKS!! Chanca Piedra means Stone Breaker, and that's what the herb does without fail. I keep a bottle in my purse all the time, and when I feel a "knife in my back", which means a stone is leaving the kidneys, I take two droppers full of the extract, and that's the end of it. The extract tastes a little like prune juice, so it's not bad. I also have a problem with my ureter flipping over and blocking the flow from my kidney to my bladder, which causes extreme sepsis, pain, vomiting, and nausea. I spent three days in the hospital with this, and it was no picnic. That was before I found Chanca Piedra. It actually soothes the spasms in the ureter and straightens it out. It is THE ANSWER to kidney problems, so tell your sister to get some and always have it close by. You can order it online from Raintree at www.rain-tree.com , or at www.iherb.com . I have also purchased the dry herb at Raintree in a one pound bag, but it needs to be mixed with water, and it is very hard to saturate, and then very grainy going down. I went back to the extract! It seems to get to the stone a lot faster, too. Molly
