I gotta fo something here - I know I am dehydrated. I have trouble drinking a bunch of water because it makes me not be able to go 10 feet from the potty. At 52 and 9 babies later that can be a problem.

I do have good water I am on a well too(right now its dry due to drought)

I will try the juice thing though. I do not think I am absorbing the water I do manage to get down.

I watched a show about different teas last night I would like to try some of them. Anyone know a good source?

I was addicted to pepsi 5 years ago. Water to me was something you rinsed out your mouth with when you brushed your teeth. I would drink a 2 littler or more a day of pepsi, never diet. The artificial sugar would make me so sick. About 4 years ago, I started to get very sick when I dranked even a sip of pepsi. I didn't know it until a few months later, but I had developed an allergy to corn and the massive amount of corn syrup was also affecting my blood sugar. I immediately stopped drinking them which wasn't easy. After several years of drinking nothing but pepsi and tea with refined sugar and then nothing but water, my body didn't know what to do. I started dehydraing. My homeopathic told me to add a little juice to my water to help my body be able to absorb the water. It took about maybe 2 weeks to get my body back to absorbing water and about 6 months to kick the sugar addiction. Since then, I've been drinking on average of 1/2 my body weight in ounces of water a day. I also drink organic herbal teas, but no more soft drinks. I've tried organic colas, but they, too, affect my blood sugar. I've only had a couple bouts of dehydration in the last 4 years due to having head colds. Just a little juice in my water and in a day or two, back to normal. I personally like my water as is, no flavor. I'm blessed to be on a good well system, not public water.

I sure wish i could say that it has been a whole week for me! I am a Pepsi addict. If I don't have it in the house I go crazy. No matter what else there is to drink here- (I do have juice etc)I still have to have it.

At least I do not drink diet - so I tell myself its OK.

You can always add a little organic juice to your water. I like to add cranberry or black cherry.

Well, it has been over a week since I have had a soda pop. I have been drinking more water but too bad it doesn't have a flavor to it.Kenneth T

In the begining of switching from sodas to water, it seemed like I lived in the bathroom. I believe that my body was simply flushing out toxins. It does balance out after a while. Now, I drink at least 64 oz of water or more a day and I'm only going every couple hours or more. I do tend to go a little more after drinking white tea.

I personally like organic white tea with lemon grass and jasmine. I cannot handle green tea, even decafe. Too much caffeine. I also drink organic red and green rooibos, organic peppermint, and echinacea when I have a cold. I loved drinking organic yerba matte but I started having problems with my kidneys (never had that problem before) and my ovaries. Once I stopped drinking it, the problem went away. Tried again 6 months later and the caffeine made my heart race. Funny, it didn't do that before. For me, everything is trial and error. Yogi tea does sell mix sample boxes, http://www.yogitea.com/ . They even give out free samples.

Thanks for this site. I just sent for some free samples.

Maybe there is hope for my pepsi addiction after all. :)
