Guest guest
thanks...did you have support of a doctor? i go to doctor regulary but my doctor isnt very supportive.. says everyone with fibro should be working....i have painic attacks driving so she is the only one close enough that i feel safe driving to...i know i sound crazy for not being able to drive but ive tried and tried to push myself...i dont have anyone to drive me to a good doctor My wife fell at work in 1985 and developed Fibromyalgia. The loss of lifestyle depressed her and I think that's how she qualified for SSI. I know it wasn't fibromyalgia directly. One doctor she worked with said the fibro was a "trashcan diagnosis". He didn't have a better idea, but refused to accept fibro. Only the depression, a good lawyer, multiple applications, and 3 years of waiting got her SSI. Maybe you could use the panic attacks as a basis to argue your case. If your doctor sez you should be working, she's full of it. Some fibro victims can work and some are too severe to work. My wife has never been able to work again. Be sure to be consistent in your story-don't change what you tell them to shorten it or make it more palatable. Keep saying the same thing over and over and over........................... Investigate EFT for the panic attacks. www.emofree.com. In 2002 I developed panic attacks as a result of becoming claustrophobic during a Hyperbaric Oxygen treatment. It took 5 times the normal dose of Xanax to calm me enough to get through till they opened the door. After I got home from the hospital, I began using EFT to treat myself for panic. I almost never get panic anymore, but when I do, I just use the EFT and it goes away. Go to the website. It's free to get started. You can download an 80+ page manual for free. It's enough. I never bought anything to treat myself for panic attacks, and quite successfully too. Hugh
Guest guest
Panic attacks could be a result of a hormone imbalance. I used to have them when I was going through menopause but doctors are so unaware in that area that they never realized that I was having panic attacks and it could be caused by hormonal changes. I had to read a book by Dr. John Lee and diagnose myself and began taking progesterone cream which then caused the attacks to subside. Guest guest
DH had to change doctors and once that was done he went in front of the judge for appeal and I didn't even have to testify---the judge told him he should have been accepted in the first place. The new doctor's complete notes and his letter was all that was needed. Bottom line----find a doctor that will keep good notes and LISTEN to you!
