Guest guest
It was my understanding that you would use the daily digest only if you did not want to receive individual emails which is not the case for me. I like receiving individual emails and have been receiving them for a while now. The problem I am having are the attachments that come with "some" emails. It was my understanding that that is why each group site has files so that one can go there and leave lengthy attachments in the files for the group to read on their own time. Not all of us have high speed internet access so when large attachments come in with the individual email, it really bogs down our systems. So its not about asking someone to change their settings to suit my taste. No, that is not what I am asking. Just asking for some consideration when it comes to sending attachments and making a nice request to please post the attachment in a file on the group site. You can let us know in the email that you posted the attachment there and we can go there to read the attachment. Thanks again for your consideration. Josephine - M.M. Monday, August 18, 2008 6:47 AM {Disarmed} Josephine RE: CHANGE YOUR PERSONAL SETTINGS FOR EMAIL I personally prefer to get the attachments it makes it faster and more convenient for me but if you prefer not to get attachments or pictures just : /mygroups then EDIT MY GROUPS do you see were it says MESSAGE DELIVERY change your setting to DAILY DIGEST then go to the bottom of the page and SAVE CHANGES. If you want to change it back do the same thing except instead of daily digest change to INDIVIDUAL EMAILS and save changes. it is as simple as that, instead of asking members to change their settings for your taste. Elaine /Moderator Hi Dr. Betty, Just wondering if you can post your attachments at the website rather than sending it via email since it takes so long for some of us to receive your attachments when you send it via email. It would really really be appreciated. Thanks, Josephine
Guest guest
This is going to be a problem for me, and perhaps others, if attachments are only posted on the website. I never go there. My emails are the only way of staying in touch. Guest guest
This would be a problem for me also, Dr. Betty's attachments are very beneficial. I would not have recevied them if they were not attached! Guest guest
I am not sure how I did it but I have set something to keep me from getting attachments. Each press will enlarge the text without changing any settings.Re: attachments: most email programs allow you to delete attachments without opening them. Most webmail programs scan attachments for virus before they even land in your mail box. (I've switched to using webmail almost entirely, and only save messages on my own machine when there is content I wish to keep. I do keep a file of email addresses on my own machine, too, for safety. )If you suspect an attachment from an unknown sender, simply delete it before opening. Spam programs allow you to screen mail from unknowns nearly completely, so there is no need to have a whole group of people change their settings for you.Talk to your Friends via . Guest guest
Its very easy to go to the group site. All one has to do is scroll all the way to the bottom of any email message that you receive from group and click on FILES and that will take you to the FILES at the website. In fact, I post all of my messages via the group site by scrolling down to the bottom of my message and clicking on REPLY.
