If you feel so may be you have Sleep apnea. What is that? Sleep apnea means that you stop breathing when you are sleeping for about 10 seconds or more, in other words it's the cessation of breath when sleeping . This may happen from 5 to 50 times per hour. This problem could be mild or severe, and this depends on how many times each hour you stop breathing and how many times air don't get to your lungs. There are 2 types of sleep apnea. One is Central Sleep apnea, this is the less common type. Usually this occur on people who have heart failure, stroke, or have a brain tumor or infection. The other type is Obstructive sleep apnea, this is the most common type. This article will focus on this type of Sleep apnea. However, some of the treatments in this article may also be helpful for central sleep apnea. The Cause There are several things that can cause obstructive sleep apnea and it can be different for adult and children.
