We have known each other for 5 years and during the past year of our marriage I have noticed my husband dwindle into this sick, psychotic, shell of the man i used to know and love. We have been on the brink of divorce for nearly a month now because I am with my husband and our two kids day after day, even through the worst of times, and I have seen my husband suffer through things a normal person would never give a second thought to. I have sat back and watch him spiral downward to the point where he actually scares me. He does not want to be a zombie, doped up on medications so he can't feel anything, and neither do I. I want him to be the independent, loving, creative, magical human i fell in love with so long ago. And our two kids miss their Daddy. Guest guest
Do not divorce your husband. Divorce his mother and doctors Most of physical disease comes from the mind and most mental disease comes from the diet. Feed your husband only moderate amoumts of protein at the start of every meal. Eat copious amounts of vegetables - mostly raw. Avoid anything with sugar in it including fruits and daity products. Slowly back him off the drugs, preferably with the help of a medical doctor (not a psychiatrist). Shut off the TV and newspapers and anything with negativity. Get out in the sun and play. Play calming music. If you go to the movies or watch TV, only watch comedies. --- On Wed, 8/13/08, Soul_bro2 <Soul_bro2 wrote: Soul_bro2 <Soul_bro2Re: Clinical lycanthropy, other mental illnesses and herbal treatments Date: Wednesday, August 13, 2008, 8:06 PM See herbsfirst.com and herballegacy. com for ailments. Guest guest
your husband needs to be in a hosptial setting to detox off of these drugs. then i would suggest some homepathic treatments and essential oils for his anxiety and depression. it sounds as if he is experiencing medication induced psychosis. i wouldnt suggest him going off these meds on his own any more then i would suggest an alcoholic try to detox himself. he needs intervention! i went thru this with a family member about 4 years ago. most psych wards will help. he has rights . as his wife you have all the rights and his mom doesnt have any unless he continues to give them to her. he needs to be safe while he comes down off these meds. the person whom i love is doing well now, off all meds, and a procutive and mentally healthy person. hte first step to get him off of these drugs. then seek help for alternative solutions. please do your reasearch in regards to the effects of stopping any medications he is on. most pych meds require weaning. it takes about a month. i have seen the negative effects both in my work experience and personal experience. he may very well have an underlying psych issue but until he is off the meds a difnitive diagnosis cant be made. i know you're tired and feeling helpless but these things take time. good luck Tony De Angelis <tntstuart Sent: Wednesday, August 13, 2008 9:08:01 PMRe: Clinical lycanthropy, other mental illnesses and herbal treatments Do not divorce your husband. Guest guest
I can only write about my experience with the neighbor girl. She ran away when she was 16 and we took her in. She was on a lot of medications and after talking with her, looking information on the meds up on the Internet and my books, I explained that I felt she was over medicated. I then took her to her doctor who spoke with her and she went off her medication. Five years later she has chosen to take a medication for bi-polar but she has not gone back on the meds for ADHD [which were a lot as she was getting meds for the side effects caused by the first pill]. I believe she was put on medications to control her and make her docile. It was easier than trying to work with her diet and with her. The problem was that when she did break out of her docile mode it was extreme and thus was given more meds to control her. She is now married, works, and has one child. She still has some problems but is working through them with limited meds. She had been on pills since she was a little girl and the only things she remembers of her childhood are the bad things that happened. She zombied through school in a special class. When talking with her about her time with us she doesn't even remember the first three months. It took that long to get the effects of the pills out of her system. I believe in past lives and your husband may very well have known this woman in a past life but that doesn't mean she is supposed to be involved with him in this life. I am going to make some suggestions: get your husband to a different doctor and have him evaluated do some research on the side effects of the medications he is on keep a food diary and note if his symptoms are worse after eating certain foods--example wheat, food colorings, food additives etc. A good healthy diet can have wonderful effects but it takes a long time. It has taken me three years on a good healthy natural diet to reverse my diabete and high blood pressure but it has happened and was well worth it! The nephews children are ADHD and they do wonderful on a special diet with no medications. Guest guest
Obviously a lifetime of over medication and a domineering mother are a big source of his problems. However, he may have Asperger's syndrome, a mild form of autism. ADD/ADHD often accompany autism spectrum disorders. These days most children are diagnosed with Asperger's by elementary school, but there are many adults living undiagnosed. Asperger's is easily and often misdiagnosed and can be covered up by meds and an out of control mother. Symptoms of Asperger's include lacking social intuition, requiring a rigid schedule and obsessions ( " special interests " ) with usually esoteric subjects. Boys with Asperger's and an atypical mother such as you describe can develop severe problems with dating and relating to attractive members of the opposite sex. However, since he is married this may not be the case. Although, I bet he seemed fairly normal until he tied the knot with you, and then his eccentricities all came out. Just a possibility. , " earth_child_89 " <earth_child_89 wrote: > > anyone? My husband has been fed anti-anxiety meds (BuSpar and others, > ADD & ADHD medications since he was 6 years old. Guest guest
i have a child with aspergers. adhd isnt an accompanying disorder. the symptoms of aspergers are often MISDIAGNOSED as ADHD , if you give a person an incorrect diagnosis and then give them the wrong medicine its disaster. Kristen Hines
I have clinical lycanthropy and what youve decribed is exactly what happend between my boyfriend and myself. The thing that helped us is going to sound stupid but it worked. Watch a movie called Hybrid, its based on clinical lycanthropy and is truer to what people like my husband and yourself go threw in those times of our "transformations". Dont pay attention to the gorey murdurs because thats just movie crap. But when they try to get the main character to go threw the process and let it flow, pay attention. It helps. All your husband needs is someone to accept whats going on and tohelp him gain controle of the urges. Clinical lycanthropy isnt a desies or disorder, unless uncontrolled. But controlled its a gift. A good idea would be to take a week off, take him into a game resort for a "camping trip" outside of hunting season, and just stay with him. Let him do what he feels he must, pluse, like wolves themselves, if he mates with you after being isolated from any other females for so long, it should trigger in his mind both human and wolf that YOU are his mate and that he has no reason to search, he will stop once thats founded. Wolves mate for life. I hope this helps you. I know what it can do to a familly.
