Guest guest
Does this include 'soy milk' as well? Bummer!!! Isn't ANYTHING good, any more?????? Kenneth T - MedResearch Soy Ruled No Health Food Soy Ruled No Health Food http://www.mercola.com/2005/aug/30/soy_ruled_no_health_food.htm Finally reality is starting to catch up to the flawed perception of soy as a health food _______ Some 200 million Americans are now eating soy in record amounts and in newly created, highly processed forms like soymilk, soy burgers, soy energy bars, soy ice cream, soy cereal and soy meat. Guest guest
Hi Kenneth I have been anit soy in all its modern forms for many years.... it is extremely hard - virtually impossible to find/buy any processed/manufactured food that does not contain it or one of its derivatives. From memory it was Sally Fallon (WAP) that first introduced me to the dangers of soy products.......... it has been an interest of mine ever since.... and she was the one (Sally Fallon) who got me on the right track about the poisions in our food supply.... that I think is when we started growing, cooking and making most of our own foods.... and shopping ONLY the perimeter of the supermarket. The ONLY soy we all ow in our diet onw is from TAMARI which is a fermented soy sauce. I do not like the taste of the other fermented soy products, but I believe they are also safe in small quantities. I read somewhere that it is a marketing fallacy (arghhh yet another one) that the asian countries are healthier because they eat large quantities of soy...... from memory again .... the asisn countries eat small quantities of fermented soy.... certainly not of the manufactured rubbish sold in supermarkets. Guest guest
In 2002, Dr. John Lee, M.D.wrote a whole chapter in his book " What Your Doctor May Not Tell You About Breast Cancer " which said much the same thing. He claimed the only soy that's okay is the fermented soy which includes tofu, miso, natto and tempeh. There is one soy protein powder that is fermented-- by Jarrow if I recall correctly. Dr. John Lee is the author of " What YOur Doctor May Not Tell You About Menopause " wherein he introduced the use of natural progesterone cream.
