Many of the Enzymes are animal based, so should be careful with them

and take only if recommended by docs.

Pre & probiotics are GUT friendly bacteria. They are your ARMY

warring against the enemies ARMY.

One thing I missed out, that I take was BREWER'S YEAST(NATURE VALLEY)

I take several different kinds of probiotics. I take acidophilus in

the morning, I take bifidus in the evening, and I also take a full

spectrum probiotic (with 8 probiotics) at lunch time. I think they

are fine to take with other supplements (at least I do take them with

others).

Yes, you're right - pancreatic-based enzymes are animal. Don't know

why anyone would want to eat part of a pancreas from an animal. And

what animal does it come from? Are they from China? Make sure you do

a LOT of homework with any supplement you pick. Most are from China.

Plus, the pancreatic ones really don't work well - they work in a very

narrow pH, from 4 to 6. And if your body's pH level is not 4 to 6,

those enzymes won't even do anything.

Actually, same with fruit-based (like the bromelain from pineapple,

works in a pH of 2-3; papain from papaya is also going to just work in

pH of 2-3)

The enzymes I take are all veggie plant-based, and are even in a

veggie capsule, and work in a pH range of 2 to 12. Make sure yours

are veggie capsules, because the gel caps are made from

horses/cows/etc. hooves.

Why ask a doc about supplement? They are not normally educated in this and they are trained to deny their efficacy.. Some docs are self-trained and may hve good input but they are few and far between.--- On Mon, 8/4/08, Dinesh <dinesh5015 wrote:

Because a little knowledge with overdose of supplements can be

harmful. One must know about one's body, get required tests done, and

decide how much of what is needed. Some supplements may also

interefere with other medications that one is taking.
