Thanks, Yalonda I have used colloidal silver quite succesfully for a sty several times. If you don't make your own, you can obtain colloidal silver from any good healthfood store. Guest guest
I don't know about anything herbal but we have always treated a sty with hot compresses. A hot cloth applied twice a day for 15 minutes. Jackie - " yalonda_king " <yalonda_king Thursday, July 31, 2008 7:33 PM sty Does anyone know what to do for a sty. Guest guest
Yalonda, I have successfully used a tea bag to completely rid sties in my eye. Just hold the bag under hot tap water and squeeze it until the tea leaves are all saturated and producing tea with each squeeze. Allow the bag to cool to a temperature you can tolerate on your eyelid, squeeze out excess liquid, then place the bag over the closed eyelid and allow the liquid to run into the eye at either corner. I keep the bag over my eye for about 5 minutes. The pain from the sty stops almost immediately, and the tannins from the tea leaves seem to draw out all the inflammation very quickly. I have used this remedy on my daughter, and I've recommended it to many others, and it always works. Try it! I think you'll be surprisingly amazed with the simplicity and effectiveness of this simple remedy. I used plain old tea bags, probably black tea, which is common in USA products. No need to buy any special sort of tea. Molly in Texas ;-)
