Can anyone help me, my son has Shingles he 30 year old.

I am sure there are other suggestions, but the one that helped me most with my shingles was to take tablets of L-Lysine.

Both my step-mom and my mother-in-law (mil) have had shingles in the past year. You can take raw, unpastuerized apple cider vinegar, and apply four times a day (this cuts down on burning and helps heal), and apply raw, unfiltered honey to area and wrap. Honey is anti-viral and anti-bacterial and will help to not only heal these up, but will also keep them from getting infected. My mil used this (she wrapped herself with guaze and an Ace bandage while at work) and she was able to get relief for about 7-8 hors while at work before the burning and pain returned. When she got home, she'd shower, and reapply.

I got this home remedy from an Amish Home Remedy book (we have used many, many remedies from this book with great success!), and both my step-mom and mil gained much relief and a quicker healing time.

I use honey (applied directly) to cold sores and they clear up within 3-4 days. You must keep the honey applied, so go to bed with a bit of honey by the bed to apply when you get up in night. You can actually feel the honey drawing when you first apply. My step-mom said she could feel it draw on her shingles, too. Cold sores (Herpes I & II) and Herpes Zoster (shingles) are related in the same viral family.
