Guest guest
Cat Recipe for Rena and Herbal Remedies, See the Cat Food Recipe below. Since the attachment did not work, I changed the format. Yours in Knowledge, Health and Freedom, Valorie Cat Food Recipe Natural, Organic and almost 1/2 Raw Offered by Valorie Shillington Do you have pets? “Read your labels.” I invite you to read your pet food label if you haven’t already. You may be shocked. I have a book entitled Keep Your Pet Healthy the Natural Way by Pat Lazarus. When you open the cover, the first page says “Your Pet’s Diet May be Killing Him” and it goes on. Doc and I have a 15 year old cat that our son Bryan talked us into keeping when our Oregon cat had kittens when he was 5 years old. We were moving across the country and didn’t think we needed to have a kitten with us. Well you’ve probably had a kid pull your heart strings a time or two and this was no exception. Our beloved family feline member, “Princess Ona Peachicoolu of Teribithia” still looks and acts like a young kitten. Her coat is shiny and she leaps about like a youngster. We have not always been wise enough to feed her correctly. Once a local vet got very angry with us for giving her dried food. He said we should never just leave dry food out for her to eat so we have reformed from this easy way of feeding our Princess and she has done very well ever since. At one time years ago, she became addicted to the brand of moist cat food we were feeding her and when we tried to switch her to a healthier food, she was so particular she would not eat what we gave her for days and made us wrong by going outside and eating lizards and the occasional bird. Our vet told us to play the waiting game and we did. Here’s the recipe for the food we now feed her and she loves it. 6 – 6 ounce cans of Tuna 3 – 6 ounce tuna cans full of raw Organic Carrots, Celery, Beet etc. ejected from a veggie juicer 2 – 6 ounce tuna cans full of raw natural Chicken Livers chopped - no hormones or anti-biotics 2 – Raw Organic Eggs 3 – Tablespoons Organic Solutions Total Pet Nutrition 2 – Tablespoons Udo’s oil or Olive oil 1 – teaspoon Sea salt Distilled water as needed (4 cups+) Save the tuna cans. Mix the above in a bowl and then put it in a food processor. I have a small food processor so I do several batches (add distilled water as needed to get a mixing action) and put the processed cat food into another bowl and stir everything together after it is processed. Fill the tuna cans you opened and the ones you saved. Then replace the lid on the can and freeze. Every morning we give our cat ½ can of food and then in the evening she gets the other ½ can. Wash and save 6 cans for your next batch. Take a new can from the freezer and place it in the refrigerator each time you start using an unfrozen can of food. In this way it will not be frozen when you need it. Makes enough cat food for about 12 days. We hope your cat likes this food as much as ours. If not, you may have to mix this food with the food your cat is used to for awhile. Yours in Health, Valorie P.S. If you are not ready to cook grains for your dog, Flint River Ranch brand pet food is one of the best dry foods to mix with distilled water, organic veggies and raw meat. Guest guest
Hi Alison. You are welcome for the recipe. You can definitely use your Cuisenart to chop veggies to a pulp. We have a juice bar and have the pulp up for grabs so I use it for our cat and dog food. Also, anyone who juices would have this available to them and could use it instead of tossing it or composting it. When you juice, there is fiber left over that is ejected by the juicer. This I call "veggie pulp" or the "veggies ejected from the juicer". Some people who own a juicer like a Champion, put this pulp back through the juicer several times to extract more juice. The bottom line is that I feel there is still a lot of nutrition in the veggie pulp and what better way to use it? Does this clarify everything for you? Valorie Alison Turner wrote: Thank you for the recipe. Question about the juicer: I don’t have one and I don’t really know what you mean by “ejected from the juicer”. Can I use a Cuisenart to chop vegetables to a pulp or are you saying to only use juice without pulp? Guest guest
Hey Reb, Finally getting caught up on my backlogged emails, and it's good to hear from you. Believe it or not, NC where we live is a major Tick and Flea area, yet our Dog Trixie and Cat Princess never get them nor bring them into the house. This is due to them getting their Total Pet Nutrition EVERY DAY. The Garlic and the Yeast in the Total Pet Nutrition, simply put your pets into a position where Fleas and Ticks just won't go there. When you add the benefits of all the Vitamins and Minerals in the Formula, welllllllllllll, it just an all around Super Fixer-upper when it comes to Fleas etc. Princess gets a heaping 1/8th of a teaspoon twice a day, and she weighs about 12 pounds = medium to big cat, and she's 16 years old and still looks like a kitten. Trixie is about 25 to 35 pounds and gets a big heaping Teaspoon once a day. Keeps 'em healthy and totally parasite FREE for good. Period. Yours in Knowledge, Health and Freedom, Doc Rebecca wrote: Dear Ian, I am re-reading your issue about pets. I understand that Total Pet Nutrition is great for the pets and makes them resistent to fleas etc. My cat is an inside/outside cat, and she does get fleas. Up to now, we have put Front Line on her every 6 weeks or so. If I stop the Front line and give her only Total pet Nutrition, she will probably still bring in fleas now and then. How can I protect myself and Stu and the carpet from these fleas? The carpet is wool and non toxic but could still be a breeding ground for fleas. love, Rebecca
Guest guest
Is it possible for kitties to get addicted to fancy feast? I feel mine that kinda like a daily treat. But she will whine and whine for it. Not a good thing i take it?
