THE GOOD NEWS

IS THAT

THE CONSUMER IS STILL KING! He’s not always aware of it, but he is King. Always remember that you and I have purchasing power. If

we don’t

buy an item it will just rot on the shelf.

And guess what? If it doesn’t

sell, the stores will stop pushing all the junk.

 

A couple of

weeks ago

I surveyed my Herbal Remedies List of 6,000 members strong to find out

if

others were aware of some of the major shortcomings of our local

Healthfood

Stores or if it was just me over dramatizing one of my conspiracy

theories. J

 

I’m glad to

say that

almost all of my list members agreed with my observations and

conclusions, and

it was good to not have that “all alone feeling” you sometimes get when

you

feel you’re the only one who sees a

thing.

 

It was firmly

agreed

that availability of “ORGANIC FOODS”

was one of the major

reasons we all shop at Healthfood stores.

Furthermore, I was very pleased to see that a variety of “HERBAL

REMEDIES” was another major reason. People

ARE waking up to the fact that the

Commercial Markets and the Giant Pharmaceutical companies have betrayed

us long

ago.

 

Furthermore,

it was

very important to many shoppers that Knowledgeable,

Friendly Staff be available to effectively answer health

questions.

 

 

The number

one

complaint was PRICE ! ! !

Almost everyone had this objection as their

number one pet peeve. This dovetailed

with the fact that most of your larger / chain HealthFood Stores also

carried a

great many NON-ORGANIC products and yet were charging high “Organic”

prices for

this kind of merchandise. Number two on

the list of beefs was the fact that just because it says “organic” or

“health food”

doesn’t necessarily mean it’s healthy.

This is where you must read labels so as not to be fooled. I have found that some labels are great up

to the last couple of ingredients that are either not organic or you

will see

some con like “natural flavorings” or “all

natural”. If it doesn’t say exactly

what’s in it, then

I’m suspicious and don’t buy it.

Organic Sugar is no better for a body than regular sugar. Organic Pastas still have Enzyme Inhibitors

in them, don’t they? This is where

having an herbalist /

natural

healer on staff can help.

And lastly, people have gotten fed up with the tremendous number

of fads

that hit us every year.

 

People want

access to AFFORDABLE, HEALTHY, ORGANIC FOOD. And the only way we’ll get it is if we demand it and refuse to buy

the junk. We have to support the

Organic Farmers by

buying only 100% Organic. If we do this, the prices will eventually

come down. In addition, we need to

demand that our foods be labeled properly so that we can be totally

informed of

every content in the package.

 

The most

ethical and

best HealthFood Stores are your small Mom & Pop Family Variety. The large chains are going the way of the

commercial giants. It’s time to put on

our crowns and demand better organic food now.

Dear Jerry,

An interesting response to say the least. The way one wins is to,

"Never Give Up"! We may lose a few battles, but we WILL win this war.

One of Winston Churchill's most famous speeches consisted only of,

"Never give up! Just never give up! Never! Never! Never!" He then

turned and walked out of the auditorium to one of the longest standing

ovations ever received.

Why would you give those governmental and industrial ass . . . the

satisfaction of having you do their dirty job for them by committing

suicide??? This doesn't make sense. A man is already dead who will

not sometimes stand up and fight.

Never give up my friend. You have in you the most! Use it! Argue for

your limitations and they're yours. Scream out your joy to overcome

any obstacle, and Freedom becomes your own personal right, and

happiness becomes an actuality.

If they ever come for me, it'll be the nastiest piece of work you ever

saw and I'll be screaming, kicking, punching and biting all the way.

T'hell with them. Let's just do it right ourselves and forget these

dudes. There's no reason why we can't grow our own food and medicines.

Dear Deb,

I understand completely.

The reason our country and politicians didn't get it, is

because most of them are absolutely corrupt. There are a couple of

decent ones like Ron Paul but they are few and far between. For the

most part BIG Pharma, BIG Agra, & BIG Techna own them all. And

behind these are the International Bankers like Rockefeller, Dupont and

the Rothschilds. I'm afraid things will get worse before they get

better, but this doesn't mean we should just give up all hope. Even a

nuclear confrontation would find some survivors. We most emphatically,

need to have our own supplies of food and survival preparations on hand

"just in case". Like the Boy Scouts, those who are prepared will

weather the storm. Those who aren't will die. Not a pleasant subject,

but a reality that needs facing.

the United States not get it? We have gotten so far away from the

true basics of life.... food, water and air. What planet will we be

able to fall to (the man who fell to earth)? Or will we be left having

to build stations outside of our own atmosphere just for food

production (2001:a space odessy).

I am not a big fan of

science fiction; I am just amazed and concerned how real life is

mirroring fiction. Are the authors/writers of these books and movies

the "prophets" of our time? I hope Jerry gets a grip and takes your

advice and not give up. I will!

I get my seeds from these 2 places.

 

I would suggest you research them a bit to decide which one you prefer.

 

I'm leaning toward the Seed Savers Exchange as I like their stated

purpose and they are a smaller operation than Seeds of Change in New Mexico.

 

Here is the info on both:

Seeds of Change - www.seedsofchange.com Phone: 1-888-762-7333 They also

sell high integrity foods such as salsa and spag. sauce. I pay almost

twice as much for their products over the other supposedly " Organic " .

They use top notch ingredients and don't toss in non organic and junk at

the end of the label like other companies do.

 

My must have list includes: Peppers, Tomatoes, Lettuce, Squash, and

Basil for starters. It depends on where you live and what grows well.

Pick things that do well in your climate and also keep in mind what you

like and what you and your family will eat. Check out " Companion

Planting " a concept that recommends planting certain plants next to

other plants as they do well together and discourage certain pests so

that you have healthy plants.

 

We can see what Doc says he would add.
