Ron Paul Meetup Groups 050707The time for a transition from the virtual world to the physicalworld is now. The PCC created the top level meetup domain and we needyou to join one or start your own.http://ronpaul.meetup.com/about/As of today, there are 25 groups formed in the United States, in 16states. Many other states have enough potential members, but no onehas stepped up to form a group yet. How about YOU??? There are also4 states that don't even have one person signed up as interested!!!,these are: DC, DE, KS and MS. I have gone through the existing and pending Ron Paul meetup groupsand grouped them by state, below, as the meetup site does this verypoorly. It should allow you to judge the easily accessible support inyour state and near your city.If you are near an established group, please join it. If your cityhas a (# interested) following the city name, you don't, but might beclose enough to others to join an established group or find enoughpeople to form a group. If you start a group, it does cost money. Asingle month is $19, 3 months is $45 ($15 a month) and 6 months is $12a month ($72). You can set this up and pass the hat at your firstmeeting.Once you have a meetup group, publicize it. A mailing is done foryou to everyone within so many miles that has signed up as interestedby meetup, but also send out a mailing. You will get a mailing listthat goes out to everyone that has joined your group. Ask groupmembers to add a meetup banner to their myspace profiles and web pages.This notice is being sent to people on , and on the main RonPaul groups on myspace and facebook. To find other Ron Paulsupporters on myspace, do a search for Ron Paul and your state name. About half of these will have gone to school in your state, or mentionthe names Ron and Paul, not together or someone posted a Ron Paulblerb in their comments section. I found about 50 possibles in 4-5hours of searching. Send these people friend requests. Then after anumber have become friends, send bulletins. Facebook is harder, asyou need to search by school name and Ron Paul. Many people leave thedefault "I'll think of something to put here" as their profile, so youwon't get as far.Once you get boots on the ground, you can start recruiting whoeverlikes the message, but for now we are trying to reach out to those onthe net that already know who he is and like him.You may be able to join other meetup groups local to you that arelibertarian, conservative, republican, etc. and post on their lists anintro to Ron Paul and a pointer to your group. These people alreadyuse meetup, so getting people to come over should be easier.Once you have a group, you will want to start doing things. As astopgap measure, fliers, door hangers, bumper stickers, etc. that canbe printed out on home printers can be found at a number of sites. There are also ones that are made for commercial printers with thecorrect proof marks.
