I went to Texas for a week and a half a couple years ago. At first it was really weird to see guys carrying handguns in holsters. And yes, some of these Texan boys are huge. But after about 2 days of staring at handguns at eye level, I began to realize that if everyone was to carry (concealed or not), no one would ever rape, attack, rob, etc. anyone not knowing whether they were carrying or not. I felt very safe in Ft. Worth those days I was there. My son said he would have no problem decommissioning Cho or putting him out of his misery. Problem is if you carry you have to be able to execute and too many kids/people are brought up now a days without a backbone. Waffle a second that gun will be used against you. I've always cringed when I hear people say we NEED gun control! No we don't, we NEED people like Cho (and dozens of others) to know they are not so powerful. It's my feeling that people like this wouldn't be so apt to go on shooting ramages if they knew they were going to get a big dose of what they give out right away. Thanx for that post Kathy, and blessings to your son during this difficult time there. ~Mendy~"Dr. Ian Shillington" <DocShillington (AT) Knology (DOT) net> wrote: Thanks for sharing that Kathy, and I agree. My son is in the AF Corps of Cadets there. He now carries from class to class. A lot of Cadets keep their weapons in their dorms (yes, so it was illegal) but Cho chose to leave that sector alone. Too bad, maybe all those kids would be alive today if Cho had not been so intimidated by the military presence. Please below. He was actually in a Psych Hospital more than a year prior to the event. http://customwire.ap.org/dynamic/stories/V/VIRGINIA_TECH_SHOOTING?SITE=MABOC & SECTION=HOME & TEMPLATE=DEFAULT & CTIME=2007-04-21-09-27-20 "While Cho clearly was seething and had been taken to a psychiatric hospital more than a year ago as a threat to himself, investigators are still trying to establish exactly what set him off, why he chose a dormitory and a classroom building for the rampage and how he selected his victims". One more time. We see, "The Psych Connection". A full account on this needs to be demanded and investigated. I believe that if enough public outcry can be generated, we may finally be able to blow the lid off of this heinous "profession" once and for all. The only difference was the would be spree killer was stop by two other students who were able to get their guns from their cars, thus there was only one victim. Every country that has inforced gun control has shown an increase in violent crimes. Here in Ohio since we passed the concealed gun law violent crime has gone down . I haven't heard that from the libs. The news talked about Cho access to guns ;what about his access to Prozac? What really killed the students ?Was the shooting a symptom of the anti-deprssants?
