Getting it right on Codex Alimentarius

Hello, Following up on the emails of last week, here is what I recommend you do concerning Codex. 1. While there are several players in the fight against Codex, some of which have been taken over by the Codex lobby and some of which are fighting back earnestly, the group that will provide the most traction is http://www.winhs.org The site is a bit dry in terms of look and content, but they are engaged in a strategy that has the best chance of success. 2. Right now, the fight in Europe has already been lost and it is up to us in the US to save the day. However, having said that, there is no target for us to attack as yet, because the action is still over in Europe currently. Having secured the suppression of the manufacture and consumption of vitamins and herbs, the Codex people are now working on what one may legally say about the therapeutic benefits of vitamins and minerals and herbs...nothing!

 

The Codex people also are busy creating a groundswell of dissatisfaction via the media with reports and studies of the dangers of vitamins. They do this by doing skewed studies that do result in harm (such as taking one of the six components of Vitamin E, in synthetic form, overdosing people on it and then, surprise, surprise, noting their adverse reactions. And then saying that all Vitamin E is harmful and should be regulated and limited. And nobody may say that Vitamin E is therapeutic because it will be illegal to say so.

Once Codex is fully in place in Europe, they will then use the World Trade Organization to enforce the same rules on the US. 3. So the first thing to do is understand their strategy. And the lies they are based on.

 

It’s pretty rich when hundreds of thousands of people die from pharmaceutical drugs each year, that pharmaceuticals are using their money and influence to pass laws that will allow them to regulate “dangerous nutrition” (from which almost nobody has ever died). Of course, “rich” is the key word: pharmaceuticals see their profits being eroded by the alternative therapy and natural supplement movements to the tune of billions, so they want to manufacture these supplements themselves, but in a way that will ensure people become ill so they also have to use the pharmaceutical drugs that they have to date been avoiding.

4. Make sure other people understand what is going on, especially your alternative health practitioners and nutritional supplement manufacturers, and health food stores. Remember, quite a few of them are being duped by associations they may belong to that have been taken over by the pharmaceuticals. 5. Write to your senator and representative every now and then and tell him or her that you are taking nutritional supplements and having great benefit from them. You want them to preserve your right to take these supplements. Let them know that while nothing is happening now in the US to speak of, there is a lot of action in Europe that, via WTO, will result in the US being forced to accept the European rules and your access to supplements being denied by the year 2009. It will be illegal, for instance, to take Niacin, except in synthetic form in 17mg amounts, for instance, because that is the level that an “adverse reaction” occurs. It will also be illegal to say or write that Niacin can have any therapeutic effect. 6. Continue to buy and use vitamin, mineral, and herbal supplements. This is a snapshot of the situation and what is your best course of action. It is all explained on www.winhs.org http://www.winhs.org , so spend some time studying it and then taking action according to their suggestions. My overview above is just a snapshot, so follow their more precise directions, not mine. The web site will alert to specific people to be communicated to and things to say when the time is right. In the meantime, you can help fund them in the work they are doing behind the scenes. I hope this now sets the matter straight for you and that you see a way forward that will actually bring about a win. The one thing we do not need is dispersed counter attacks to the Codex threat and a fragmented army to fight it.
