Guest guest
Dear All, Some hacker is still sending out the odd message that "looks" as if it is coming from me to the list. These messages usually contain a virus or a worm, and are very destructive. Usually, they say they are from "Doc" in the email address line, rather than "Dr. Ian Shillington" but they are using my email addy regardless or look as if they are to send these messages. Please do NOT open these attachments. I do NOT send attachments to the list. I do send them once in a while in a private comm to individuals when requested and I always say what is IN the attachment before you even need to open one of these. Also, when I send an email to the list, the email or ID is always "Dr. Ian Shillington" not just "Doc". I have lodged a formal complaint with , and hope to have this resolved soon. One investigator on this has indicated that Monsanto has a computer unit with the purpose of destroying those who would speak against them. While this may sound rather "conspiracy theory" driven, it may not be as far fetched as you might think. Any way, hopefully will resolve the issue. Guest guest
Thanks Zoe, and good to hear from you. I'm sure they'll nail the culprit unless they happen to be "Protected". This is not a new thing to happen with and their investigators are quite adept at locating the culprit so keep your chin up. All those posts have been caught by my scanner and moved to the quarantine folder before I ever see them, TG.. Hmm, could be Monsanto, could be a disgruntled member, or former member, or could just be prankster. Considering other things that Monsanto has been caught doing I wouldn't put this past them. I've been told that spoofing is quite easy to do, but the one thing they cant do is to hide the IP address of the sending computer. That IP will lead directly to the ISP and the ISP will be able to identify the computer. Hopefully it won't be on a public puter such as you find in libraries.
