your ID when accessing CHA. You will need to prove you are an L.Ac. or

student of an accredited TCM college to get automatic approval. If crane rejects

you for some reason, please contact me and we will sort it out. A crane ID will

also give you full access to their database and online ordering. If you are not

familiar with crane herbs, then you are in for a pleasant surprise. Like several

other companies such as Blue Poppy, Paradigm and ITM, this site is very

informative and useful for clinicians.

Dear MembersIn order to facilitate the transfer of CHA to our new server, I will need your help. Please go to http://www.craneherb.com and select account from the left hand menu. if you mean the stored messages from the past three years, they

have been retrieved and saved. they will be more accessible on

the new site. certain search limitations introduced over

the past year make the current archives essentially worhtless.

I've had that problem too, the solution is to make sure that you add the

" www. " part before the domain name.

This works: http://www.craneherb.com

This does not: http://craneherb.com

Dear

I tried to access the craneherb com by inputing my previous profile with CHA

.. The account came back and stated that I put in a wrong 'input' and

instructed me to go back to my backbrowser to put in a a new one. I did

this several times and it just came back with similar instructions.

I sent a message to Crane inquiring about getting an account.

Regards,

Rey Tiquia

Well, of COURSE I added the www!

Their site must have had a difficulty for a time; later I was able to get

on.

Have you had an unequivocal promise that our email addresses will not

be used for marketing by Crane, and will not be sold or in any way

distributed to a 3rd party?

There is no page on that website to create a crane profile. One must

already have an account with them and the web page says it's restricted to

licensed practitioners. How does one create an account there? I am a

student at the Colorado School of Traditional . It was

accredited by CCAOM this past May.

actually, many sites, such as my own, open without adding the

www. that is always my problem with crane, but sounds like you

just had a different glitch.

well, if you sign up on the crane site, I think you will get a catalog

from them, but I didn't think that would be very intrusive to

anyone. definitely much less intrusive than with all the

ads. there is always some hidden price to pay fro a " free "

service. However, your personal data will definitely not be sold

to anyone guaranteed and you can be removed from the mailing

list if you would like without affecting your CHA status. I am

currently a customer of crane and have never received a single

email from them about anything. they don't spam their

customers. the owner reads this list and he has been very

accommodating to all my needs for this move. Ideally, the

system at crane would be an opt-in system, where one has to

choose to receive catalogs, etc, rather than opt-out like .

thanks for raising this issue. It is why I ran this through the

group so we can identify issues together.

Will start publishing more next Monday.
