Nowwww, before you start moaning, “Oh no, here

comes one more Weight Loss fad, that’ll last for about six months, and then die

out like all the rest”, please do yourself a favor and read on just a little

bit further. You’ll be glad you

did.

I’ve been researching weight-loss for a little

over a year now, and using myself and my wife Valorie as guinea pigs (We’ve

both been overweight off and on for the last 20 years), I’ve managed to

discover the answers to the following very important questions:

1. What are the key principles that affect

body weight and which also resolve the problems of obesity?

2. Precisely, what were the workable truths

behind those diets that produced real weight loss?

3. Where did these other diets fall short

and go off the rails?

4. Why does my Lifetime Health Diet offer

permanent weight loss and actually helps to bring about an ongoing state of

excellent health?

5. And lastly, are there any other

contributing factors to weight gain?

In answering #1, I’ve discovered that there are

only three basic principles that affect body weight and obesity, and these are:

A. Quantity.

B. Quality.

C. Viability.

In

“A”,

we’re simply talking about “how

much” we eat. Most

overweight people (very few exceptions) eat far too much. When I publish the actual diet, you’ll

see that “quantity” plays a key role.

In

“B”, we

need to look a little deeper into the fairly complex subject of the quality

of the foods we eat, and the quality

of our lifestyles. When discussing

“quality” we’re talking about these two things only:

a.

The nutritional value of our food:

b.

And the degree of excellence or the quality of our

lifestyles.

And

honestly, the quality of most of our commercial food nowadays is nothing short

of criminal, and the amount of STRESS in our lives in this day and age is outrageous.

In

“C”, we

are using this very specific definition of the word viability

= “capable of working”. We are NOT

talking about how many hours you can sit typing at a computer. I’m sorry to have to tell you this, but

we’re talking about EXERCISE here.

Use it or lose it! If you rest, you rust!

This is

probably the toughest category.

And the key here is doing things on a gradual approach. I don’t care how little you start off

doing, but you need to do a bit more each day until you get to your ideal, viable

weight and physical condition.

Depending on your present weight and your goals, it can take from one to

seven months to get back into shape.

Now, before you get all discouraged, please realize that this is short

compared with the length of time it took to get into the current shape you find

yourself.

Actually the

entire subject is really quite simple and over the next few weeks, I’ll be

explaining all the above in greater detail.

Hey Doc......good letter! My husband and I can attest to the truth in what you are saying here. Ed has been overweight most of our 36 years together (mostly because he was a sugar addict). Over the last year since he finally got truly serious about his HEALTH...not necessary his weight......he has lost over 30 pounds and just recently went down a whole pant size (which was so encouraging).....he is now only about 20 pounds from his target weight, but more importantly, he is feeling so much better, has more energy, and even his thinning hair is starting to thicken again. He has always worked out (mostly lifting weights) all of his life. He used to like to run, but his knees took so much abuse from playing sports and then jumping off of semi trucks for years that he had to stop running, (not to mention the extra weight they had to bear).... but he has stayed loyal to his 3 times a week workout.

What made the difference for us both was 'QUALITY' in the foods we are consuming. We have slowly eliminated processed foods, red meat and other empty foods, eat organic chicken now and as many organic fruits and vegetables that we can get our hands on. We have also been drinking your total nutrition drink every morning, and include in it, the body balance, organic egg, organic apple, organic spinach, Udo's oil, and banana. That drink alone gives us more nutrition than we used to get in an entire day. Ed also carries with him a second helping of that drink which he has at lunch, as well as taking the total tonic with him, that he takes several times a day (which we're hoping will help with a calcium deposit on his foot).

We're finding that we actually eat less, but feel as if we're getting so much more from what we ARE eating....finally...real nutrition instead of empty calories!!

My weight is in a holding pattern since I went through menopause. I used to get extra weight off easily, but now it's VERY stubborn and hard to make any progress. When I do workout, I enjoy it and feel better (and although my actual weight doesn't change, I'm sure I loose fat and replace it with muscle)......life and excuses keep getting in my way of being consistent in that area. I'm active, in that I mow my own yards and do all the maintenance around our home, as well as train dogs and compete in agility trials with them, but I KNOW I could and would function much better if I would keep my muscles more in shape and loose the extra "sugar" pounds I have.

It's a slow process, but it seems as though as we replace processed, empty foods with REAL foods, we eat less, get more out of what we eat, and feel better and better!

I can't thank you enough for your generous ways of sharing the knowledge you have. God bless you and yours!! Valinda
