USDA More Dangerous than Al-Qaeda

Background Info — walterj 5:38 am

[There is a most interesting report. -WJ]

PERSISTENT HOMELAND SECURITY PROBLEMS AT AGRICULTUREUSDA Ignoring Security Rules While Dispensing Advice to Farmers

Washington, DC — The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) has failed two straight audits over its unsafe handling of highly toxic agents at the same time the agency is distributing a detailed Homeland Security “checklist” to farmers, ranchers and dairy operators, according to agency documents released today by Sinapu and Public Employees for Environmental Responsibility (PEER).

The audits, conducted by the Department of Agriculture Office of Inspector General in 2005 and 2006, concern a branch of the agency, ironically* named Wildlife Services, which exterminates wildlife at the request of farmers and ranchers. In 2004, the last year for which figures are available, Wildlife Services killed 2.7 million animals, principally birds, using an array of lethal chemical agents ranging from sodium cyanide to aluminum phosphate, deployed across the country as bait, in fumigants, sprays and gases.:“The Department of Agriculture itself poses a bigger homeland security threat than any possible infiltration of Iowa by Al Qaeda,” stated PEER Executive Director Jeff Ruch, noting that the USDA has not acted to follow many of the Inspector General’s recommendations or to punish the responsible Wildlife Services managers. “USDA ought to stop giving out homeland security advice until it starts following the most basic bio-security precautions.”

In addition to the lack of toxic controls, the groups have raised concerns about aviation accidents stemming from the Wildlife Services aerial gunning program as well as dangers to people, pets and “non-target” wildlife due to the agency’s indiscriminate se of traps, poisoned bait and other eradication techniques.

[*The name and function of “Wildlife Services” is especially ironic since the USDA also has a division called the Farm Service Agency… -WJ]

Gosh don't know on the corn bottles Angela since this is the first I've heard of them. Sheesh!!! What will they think of next. Best is to squeeze your own.

I'd stick with a common wood stove, either pot bellied or boxwood is my personal favorite since you can burn anything in them anyway, and they are very efficient.

You only want to use the USP Pharmaceutical Grade DMSO. The rest is just tooooooo risky. This stuff will leach anything just about, and will also go through just about anything. I never use anything but the USP stuff. Yes! It's pricey, but the only safe one to use. It's the only kind I use in my formulae.

Love,

Doc

Re: Homeland Terrorists

Doc,you know that I am staying up to date as much as I can on all this GMO stuff. Got some questions for you.#1 I buy organic orange juice but now its coming in a new biodegradable corn bottle. yikes! Are these safe as containers? Or should I risk using just regular OJ? Pesticides VS GMO'sNext, My husband is looking at buying a corn stove. which they are great by my gut feelings are im helping Mosanto.Whats your opinion on these things?something totally different~I read your file on DMSO. i had used it 10 years ago for my dog. if anyone has never had a little of this on you, its like something from outerspace. yuk. Anyway, My friends dog has a very rare cancer in the roof of his mouth. Nothing we can do. Its growing very rapidly on his gums. Hes feeling fine but time is not on our side. She has changed his diet to all holistic, raw. Venison i gave her to use. On all kinds of herbal things the vet recommended but he doesnt like to eat all that stuff in his food. She drove him 15 hours one way to MA to have an ozone treatment. has now bought the machine herself to do it. What else can she do? Id like to see her use the higher grade DMSO with what you suggest mixed it there to help stop this cancer. All suggestions are welcomed.Sorry this post is so long!Blessings,Angelaherbal remedies , "Dr. Ian Shillington" <DocShillington wrote:>> http://www.nonais.org/ > USDA More Dangerous than Al-Qaeda> Background Info - walterj 5:38 am > [There is a most interesting report. -WJ]> > > PERSISTENT HOMELAND SECURITY PROBLEMS AT AGRICULTURE> USDA Ignoring Security Rules While Dispensing Advice to Farmers> Washington, DC - The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) has failed two straight audits over its unsafe handling of highly toxic agents at the same time the agency is distributing a detailed Homeland Security "checklist" to farmers, ranchers and dairy operators, according to agency documents released today by Sinapu and Public Employees for Environmental Responsibility (PEER).> > The audits, conducted by the Department of Agriculture Office of Inspector General in 2005 and 2006, concern a branch of the agency, ironically* named Wildlife Services, which exterminates wildlife at the request of farmers and ranchers.
