Guest guest
Hot and Cold showers are an important part of a daily routine for anyone wanting increased health benefits, and they are absolutely vital for those on The Incurables Program. All the nutrients from the good, fresh, organic food, juices and herbs you are putting into your body must get to the areas where the stoppages have occurred. What’s the best way to do this??? Hot and Cold showers! A hot and cold shower once a day is essential when it comes to handling any illness. The hot water brings all the blood to the surface and the cold water drives all the blood deep into the body. This creates dramatic blood flow and tends to stimulate arteries and veins to contract and expand thus pushing blood to areas it might not normally get to. How does one do a hot and cold shower? You turn on the shower and increase the hot water to as hot as you can stand it and leave it on for 30 seconds up to a full minute. Then the goal is to turn the water all the way to cold for up to a minute, (Yes, even in the dead of winter). Now, it is fine if you don’t do this the first time and gradually approach this on a gradient scale. You should be hopping around a bit, yelling “It’s so cold!!” and breathing deeply. Repeat this 7 times. While you are doing both hot and cold showers, pay special attention to the affected or injured area and massage it vigorously. Hot packs and Ice packs may be used to focus on a specific area in addition to a daily hot and cold shower. If a shower is not available or if getting in and out of a shower is a major problem, the Hot and Ice packs can be used instead. Showers get the blood moving in and around the whole body whereas the hot and cold packs do an excellent job of moving blood into and out of a particular area. So whenever possible do at least one hot and cold whole body shower each day and another partial hot and cold shower on the problem area with vigorous massage or some hot and cold packs with vigorous massage in addition to your hot and cold whole body shower. A plastic garden chair can be placed in a shower if you need to sit because of weakness. These actions will make a tremendous difference and most people learn to really like their showers. I had one person who did the cleansing program because of advanced arthritis and afterwards swore she would take a hot and cold shower every day for the rest of her life because she found them to be so invigorating. She was quick to add she wouldn’t take them too late in the day or she’d be up half the night from the increased energy and vitality she experienced after her shower routine. If I were only allowed to use one therapy it would be Hot and Cold as I’ve seen it make miraculous changes for the better. One time I did a hot and cold treatment on a Cancer patient for a couple of hours and his tumor shrunk to half its original size. This is just one of the many dramatic things that hot and cold showers can do. This is a vital tool. Use it! In Health and Love, Dr. Ian Shillington 2005 by Ian Shillington N.D. All rights reserved.
