Thanks to all who wrote to the Fresno Unified School District in California. School board member Manuel G Nunez has written to many - indicating that TeenScreen will NOT be implemented there. We await further documentation and verification.

In the meantime, another fight has broken out and your e-mails are now needed in Kenosha, Wisconsin.

Please alert all your associates within driving range of the below described school board meeting - Tuesday, Nov 14, 6:00 PM. Chicago is only 1 hour and 20 minutes away. Gary, Indiana is 2 hours.

The Daily KenoshanTeen Suicide to be Discussed at Next School Board Meeting Thursday, 09 November 2006The controversial TeenScreen program will be discussed at the next KUSD Standing Committee meeting on November 14, 2006 at 6pm.This meeting will take place at 6pm in the ESC building located at 3600 - 52nd St, Kenosha WI.TeenScreen has been added to the agenda as an informational item. This meeting is open to the public. TeenScreen was placed on the agenda due to the efforts of School Board Vice President Pam Stevens and board member Gilbert "Gib" Ostman. TeenScreen is a controversial suicide screening program that KUSD is planning on implementing for eighth graders attending school within the KUSD. Dr. Pierce, superintendent of Kenosha Unified School District has referred questions about the program to Joe Kucak, Coordinator of Student Support.
