AFTER SURGERY

OR IN CASES OF

BROKEN BONES, PULLED MUSCLES, TENDONS AND LIGAMENTS

Bone, Flesh & Cartilage Formula

Organic Ingredients:

Comfrey Root, Oak Bark, Gravel Root,

Mullein, Wormwood, Marshmallow Root, Skullcap, Walnut Bark, Lobelia.

BONE, FLESH & CARTILAGE FORMULA:

This is a regeneration formula for skin, muscle, tendon, ligaments,

cartilage, joint and bone healing.

It is great to use after any surgery, or in cases where an accident has

left broken bones, pulled muscles, tendons and ligaments.

The Oak bark

is an astringent to tighten up the area.

If you have skin flapping and you want to stitch it back together, Oak

bark will do this. Comfrey, or

“Knit-Bone” as it is sometimes called, can reheal and reform bones that have

been shattered or eaten away by disease.

The above combination of herbs is used externally in severe injury or

trauma to the body and will help the cells to repair quickly.

Hot Compress

(Fomentation): Pour one quart of distilled water into

a stainless steel or glass pot.

Add ¼ cup of dry B, F and C herbs. Mix and allow it to soak overnight or for at least 8

hours. Bring to a simmer (not a

boil) and allow the liquid to reduce to ¼ its original volume. Allow to cool a bit, soak a thick

flannel cloth in the hot liquid and apply to the affected area as a

fomentation. Cover or wrap with

plastic to hold the fluid and heat in and cover with a towel to retain body

heat. Be sure to avoid chills as

the compress cools down by wrapping the rest of the body in blankets to keep it

warm. The warmth is an important

part of the healing process as this helps the herbs absorb into the body. Remember your “Hot and Cold”

Hydrotherapy.

We

can supply you with these herbs and the thick flannel cloths that are

unbleached and made for use with these hot and cold compresses. The main thing is to choose a cloth

that is thick enough to absorb an adequate amount of liquid. Should you choose to use your own

cloth, be sure it is dye free, rinsed thoroughly to remove any chemicals or

soap residues, and then boiled in distilled water and dried before use. Anything on the cloth will also absorb

into your skin and blood stream.

Deep tissue repair oil: This herbal formula can be rubbed into the skin

to relieve pain, inflammation and stiffness in joints, tendons, ligaments and

muscles. It’s great for arthritis,

bursitis, lumbago, and any muscle or bone pain. (Contact us

for more detailed information on using this oil.)

arnica gel – This gel can be a real life saver!!! Pick up a tube at your local health

food store or special order it from us.

Every First

Aid Kit should contain 1 bag of the B F & C herbs to make a fomentation, a

flannel cloth, Deep Tissue Repair Oil, and Arnica Gel.

Yours in health

and love,

Ian “Doc” Shillington N.D.
