How is it that you put the minerals back into the water if you drink distilled? I have been drinking distilled for a very long time and add nothing to my water...

Re: Herbal Remedies - Need help! Hives?

Actually, the DRUGS themselves are the "non-traditional"remedies...what we discuss here is quite traditional.Anyway, the first things I would recommend are#1) TONS of water (reverse osmosis or distilled is fine, but make sureyou add the trace minerals back in!) To find out how MUCH water, takeyour husband's body weight in pounds, divide that in half, and theresulting number is the number of OUNCES he should drink DAILY atminimum. Now, if he is a smoker, drinker, prescription or OTCdrug-taker, or salt-lover, he will need to drink even more than theminimum amount. His body is obviously reacting to something and thewater will do 2 things--dilute and flush. Both are quite necessary.#2) I would also do large amounts of Vitamin C. VitC is a goodanti-inflammatory that practically no one knows about. It's besttaken in a capsule multivitamin, because it requires other nutrientsin order to process more efficiently. It might be good, however, inADDITION to the multivitamin, to supplement with even more VitC...Iwould say around 5,000 mg to start, more if he's bigger. He'll wantto gradually increase his dosage of Vitamin C until his stool isn'tsolid, and then back down just a bit under that.Bromelain, available in supplement form or in natural form by way ofpineapples (food sources are always recommended before supplements)will help with inflammation, as will also a probiotic digestive enzymetaken on an EMPTY stomach. (When there is no food present, theenzymes will go to work on inflammation and the bodies that produceit. Most enzymes on an empty stomach are harmless. Buy from atrusted source, such as at a local health food store.)Other avenues you may want to try: acupuncture (sometimes themeridians get screwy), electronic biofeedback (does WONDERS withinflammation but finding practitioners with the real-deal devices isdifficult.)While these remedies work, it's essential to find the cause--that'sthe first priority in true holistic healing. You don't want to justcover up the symptom, you need to find the aggravator. Keep tabs onhis entire daily intake, every chemical he comes in contact with, every place he goes (it could be toxic mold or some junk). Considerhis occupation, his hobbies, his lifestyle. Consider allergy testing.Forget the meds, they cover up symptoms only. They often containtoxic heavy metals and other insane ingredients. You can do this! Good luck to you both.Hugs,~Jyotiherbal remedies , "Cheryl Healy"<frogseeker wrote:>> Hi Lori. I just had terrible hives, but unfortunately didn't getanything > herbal to help.
