OK Doc what can i do with this Mess

I found the recipe for Black Salve in the files section. Ordered all the ingredients and had the zinc chloride on my counter for several days turning to liquid. I had premeasured just the right amount of dried herbs and they were in a jar right beside the zinc. Today, I added them to the zinc and immediately discovered that something wasn't quite right.

 

I rechecked the recipe and sure enuf I forgot one fairly major piece of info. Those roots were supposed to be POWDER !!! OK so now I have this unpowdered cut and dried root stuff wallowing in the zinc chloride. Is there any way to salvage this mess or do I just throw it out?

 

Leave it to me to really screw stuff up. LOL
