Need Help with Attention and Focusing

Hello Everyone!

 

I've posted about my son quite a few times in the past. I'm just at the end

of my ropes at this point. He has trouble focusing and staying attentive

in class and I have been to so many conferences over the years.

Over the Summer he went for testing with the school and was eligible

for a special program which allows him to be in a smaller class for Language

Arts and Math with a teacher that specializes in Special Ed. My son is

in 5th grade and started the Middle School.

Only two weeks into the new school year and I already get a call that the

teachers want to see me for a conference because they are concerned with

his proformance/behavior. He forgets his books sometimes and really doesn't

like studying.

I am afraid that they will tell me to go to a doctor and we all know what that

means......MEDS!! I refuse to drug my child.

I have been giving him homeopathic drops from Newton Labs. But I guess

they aren't helping enough.

He also has trouble falling asleep at night.

I don't know what else to do.

All suggestions and help is greatly appreciated.
