Guest guest
Hello, My wife is about to graduate as a Medical Assistant. She says they are going to make her take shots. There must be away around this so she doesn't have to put that poison in her body. Any help would be great. Thanks, Rick
Guest guest
Hi Rick, I had going to Paramedic school about 10 years ago, and the only thing that we had used for practicing the shots was regular saline solution, which is only a very mild salt water which is the same as we have in our bodies. Now meds are given when you practice the shots. The scariest is when practicing that most have never gave shots in the past. This is very interesting. Some of the guys would think they were trying to use a dart board for the arm, and with me the one female forgot to take the air out before she was about to practice on me. The instructor lucky was very alert and caught this, since there is a likely chance that an air bubble could travel to the heart and cause a lot of life and death problems. Tell her not to worry except for the ones that are going to practice on her. Also so much fun when you have to practice the IV sticks on each other. This is worse than the shots anyday! Guest guest
Correction on my post on learning to give shots. I did mean to say that now meds are given when learning to give shots. Sorry about the typing error. Donna
Guest guest
Maybe not. In Missisppi, you have to prove your religious affiliation, usually documentation that your are a member of a certain church. This is the case for immunizations in children. I'm guessing that the law is the same here for adults. Even so, religious exemption, depending on how the law is written in your area, is still probably your best and only shot. (No pun intended... I promise ;-) Tammi U.On 9/18/06, Dr. Ian Shillington <DocShillington wrote: Claim religious exemption. Works every time, especially if you're adamant about it. Guest guest
Rick , She can refuse the shots , but will [ probably [ have to sign some paperwork to theaccord , that she s aware of the dangers of refusing the shots . When I worked att he hospital , they wanted me to take the hepatis b shots and sosme other junk , I did refuse . Also , everytime they tested me for ??? I also refused that test and had the chest x-rays done instead , since that test always came back positive , which a x-ray refuted . As to flu shots , those can also be refused ... gab ---- rick_campbell76 09/18/06 15:56:56 herbal remedies Herbal Remedies - Hospital Shots; Is there away around this? If you want to work there? Guest guest
Ok now you are REALLY scaring me .. I know Halloween is coming but man I just got back to the HR pages and no Trick or Treat... and NO THANKS... to Needles of any kind ..well maybe nice smelling pine needles from the forest..but really ..having to take shots for a job? Under the pretense of potential personal protection no doubt... Forget that idea!! Start asking why? My suggestion would be Total Tonic, Total Nutrition , Echinacea, Body Balance , and Intestinal Cleanse..aka The Lifetime Health Program... and play the lottery so maybe you wouldn't have to take a job like that.. How does it make you feel that someone is mandating you take shots? My question would be WHY? We have just come out with handy-dandy travel size herbals, easier than carting larger bottles around!
