Guest guest
You guys will probably laugh, but I did some research on using urine to heal things. It actually made sense when they explained it. You know, it is filtered by the kidneys and fresh is considered to be quite a tonic! I haven’t used it for anything yet, but I would if I was desperate. Here are a couple of links to get you started: http://www.mindspring.com/~areofnyc/areofnyc/opendoor/00summer/food-sum.htm Just one article, explaining that many people who take medication are indeed already consuming urine (mainly animal!) http://www.heartlandhealing.com/pages/archive/urine_therapy/ http://www.healsa.co.za/urinetherapy.htm This article explains the processing of urine…a quote from it. It mentions drinking it, so I am sure all of you will probably really be grossed out, but I have to admit, there are plenty of things I do “naturally” that I never would have tried. The kidney's major function is to balance all the elements in your blood. It takes all excess amounts of vital substances out of the blood as well as excess amounts of water. The water and these vital substances then form urine. Urine is filled with vital elements. It is not waste. The liver detoxifies the blood and excretes the toxins into the colon. The kidneys balance the blood's vital substances and water level. In short, urine is simply filtered blood. It contains in its fresh condition, only those chemicals and compounds of the blood in circulation in each of us. The morning urine is the richest and best urine to drink. This is partially due to the greater level of hormonal secretion that takes place in the late night hours when the body is totally relaxed and repairing itself. And one more site for all of you J http://www.biomedx.com/urine/ I know how much you want to read even MORE on it J Thanks for listening. Like I said, I haven’t tried it yet, but I have had great success with herbs and homeopathy and haven’t felt like I had to resort to it. I do struggle with yeast and I may try a few suggestions for that as we eat only whole foods and I am very careful as to what I consume. I still am often “on the verge” of one. Guest guest
When I was 11, my little brother was born, and one day while my Dad (yes, DAD!) was changing his pee-soaked diaper he teased me that he was going to chase me around the house and wipe this pee-soaked diaper on my face. I screamed of course and then he went on to say when he was little, that was one of the ways acne was treated. Taking a baby's diaper, soaked in urine, and wiping it on the acned face. It was then dried off and no one was the wiser. Supposedly it really helped. Now, of course, this was in the 20's, and diapers were real cloth, baby's were still just nursing (no formula) and their little bodies were still new-born perfect inside. But I'll never forget his sincere face while telling this story - I wonder, to this day, if his face was washed with baby's urine, since he's got a little brother that's 12 years younger than him!! Guest guest
I remember back in the 70s the old grandmothers used to tell us about that acne treatment, don't know if anyone ever tried it in my group though....I am willing to try most things natural, but urine therapy is not one. Guest guest
Hey there Melanie, My name is Adam. I just joined this group and saw your post. I also saw that you are a Bradly lady:) My wife and I used Bradley and are planning on becoming instructors in November! My question has to do with the explination you gave for the kiddney cure idea... It said that toxins are exreted in the colon while the urine was just filterd blood. I was taught that lipofilic (substances that can combine with fats) toxins are excreted through the colon and that Hydrophilic toxins (ones that can combine with water) are gotten rid of through the urine. Did your sources go into that at all? I admit I haven't gone to the websites you posted... mainly 'cause I'm super busy right now. Is there a good place to read on that info? Also doesn't the urea content that comes from the krebs cycle need to get out of the body? Wouldn't putting it back in make the body more acidic? From what I've read that isn't a good thing. Just trying to understand. Thanks! -Adam herbal remedies , " Melanie Harper " <chatterbug wrote: > > You guys will probably laugh, but I did some research on using urine to heal > things.
