Can bulk dry herbs be stored in plastic containers? A friend gave me about 30 ice cream buckets recently. I buy herbs in bulk for my family, so storage is always a problem. I have heard that the toxins in plastic can leech out into liquid. Would this be true for dry herbs also? Thanks! Yes! As long as the herbs are thoroughly dehydrated with no moisture whatsoever.

You want to ensure that the plastic is either #1, #2, or #5. #1 is best.
