Hey all, I just discovered the most wonderful compound called feverfew and lavender. Recently I got very ill, I've been going through something quite stressful with a friend, and my immune system got hammered. I ran a temperature of 105 degrees. My stomach hurt, I could not eat, my head hurt so bad I wished I was dead, also my throat was very sore. I started cayenne tincture, but my stomach rebelled and I started throwing up. I went days without being able to hold down much of anything. I found organic avocados a blessings, also organic ice cream, nothing else tasted good or would stay down. Still my head was hurting so bad. A friend brought me a bottle of this tincture and wow, first dose and no more headache. He told me it even zaps migraines. I'm a believer. I stopped throwing up, still weak and energy levels are low but I'm on the mend. How wonderful I am learning all this great stuff.

Jo-Jo, Valorie, or Doc can you recommend a good book on making tinctures, and one on herbals? I have quite a library but want to have the best and easiest to understand. Some of my stuff reads like medical journals and I really don't like that. My friend also brought me more Lobelia tincture (Doc's brand) which is much more palatable than what they have available locally. I found it impossible to take my tinctures while I was at my sickest, they just made me throw up. I was also having trouble holding down my garlic and remembered to use olive oil, that did it. I know garlic is good for so many things and take it daily but my stomach did not want to deal with it until I added the olive oil and I put it in a dose cup and drank it. Just wanted to share this with you, throwing up garlic is gross. The best part my friend refused to take a penny for any of these, told me he had the Lobelia since the end of last year and couldn't take any money for it, he was concerned it would go bad. So, I will share some of my tinctures with him. But the wonderful news is Jo-Jo told me to quit being so frugal with the herbals. Once the feverfew and lavender compound (tincture) kicked in and believe me it was almost instant, I knew I was going to get past this. Just wanted to share another great herbal medicine with you all. I have a doctor appointment with a specialist tomorrow. I want to discontinue my last pills and my husband wants me to share everything with him. He's very cool and knows a lot about herbal formulations so I feel comfortable sharing with him. He told me in January when I saw him he was so proud of me for getting off of most of my pharmacy. It was killing me folks, every drug has about 19 side affects. Times that by 23 and you get major reactions. It feels so good knowing how far I have come and I don't intend to ever go back to medico except for when I absolutely have to. Taking responsibility for my own health has been the most rewarding experience of my life. Many blessings and much love.
