Guest guest
At this time of the year, lots of garden plants have bloomed and are going to seed. I have many batches and bunchs and bunkers of various kinds of mints that are not so inviting, just now, as teas, but are still fragrant and are full of essential oils and goodness. I like to grab several handfuls of mint and throw them in a footsoak bucket of very hot water. It smells up the house very pleasantly and when the water cools enough, I then soak my feet in the hot "mint tea". It is very pleasant and soothing. My daughter snatches up handsful of overgrown mint and wipes herself, then the dog (to get rid of fleas) and even wipes down the concrete door walk. When visitors come up, they are stunned at the overpowering odor of peppermint or whatever particular mint we have in abundance. None of this is rocket science, and I don't need to take refresher courses in Organic and in Physical Chemistry to know that I am making good use of God's bountiful creation for all to enjoy. What a nice way to finish up late Summer garden. ..
