? About a dog cold

I'll start from the beginning I guess. Two weeks ago my dog had a tumor

removed from one of her mammories...also got fixed at the same time.

We've had to go back 3 times to have stitches replaced and in doing so

she has now caught a doggy cold, I called the vet and asked about it

and she said it was going around town. Just to watch her for a few days

and she should come out of it since she is still young. Today she has

been sneezing more and her nose is running...she's also started

coughing a tiny bit. I know what to do herbally for myself when I have

a cold but not sure if the same would appply to a dog. I usually load

up on echinacea and vit c....can I do this for her?
