Hi! I've most of the ingredients for the Eyebright formula. BUT! I am

unable to buy DMSO in Canada. Is there a substitute/can the formula

work without it, ie, perhaps taking longer to work?

While I imagine that it can be purchased elsewhere over the internet, I

do not make online purchases.

Suggestions would be much appreciated, and thanks!

Hi Doc

I live in the back country of the Manitoba prairies. It was the

health food store in Brandon that said DMSO was not available. I

have since then thought if anyone from here is shopping in North

Dakota, they might buy it for me. One way or the other I am getting

it!!

I did a little reading on DMSO, is the way in which it penetrates the

skin beneficial to the absorption of the other ingredients?

Val had said at one time that the eyebright solution becomes murky

after a few days... would it work to premix the water, alcohol and

DMSO and add it to the herbs in small amounts as needed?

Well now, my mother was born in White Mouth ;-)

The data your health food store gave you was correct and I have not been able to get DMSO into Canada for over a year now. The only way it can be done is for a person to cross the border and collect it on the Yankee side ;-) and then personally take it back.

DMSO is very beneficial and WILL help other ingredients go through the skin and into the system.

You don't want to premix your eyebright with distilled water and then store the mixture. Wait until you're ready to do your flushing and then mix it up with the distilled water. It'll keep a long time this way.

This farm / feed store variety is NOT the USP Pharmaceutical Grade and is not worth buying for herbal or direct human use. I wouldn't touch that stuff.
