Guest guest
Hi, I was wondering if someone could help. My son has recently (just 2 days after we returned from a vacation August 12th) started having itchy, red, and slightly puffy eyes. He's complained once in a great while over the last year that he felt " scratchy all over. " This " scratchy " feeling has started occurring more frequently in the last few weeks. I'm very, very new to the herbal remedy thing, but I've started trying to change my family's diet over the last year to more organic, whole foods. My son has been very resistant to this in many ways and still refuses to eat any bread but white, etc... Is there anything you guys could recommend? My husband and his parents are surely going to start recommending an anti-histamine soon, if I don't find something natural that works. Any suggestions? Please! Thanks! Guest guest
I used to have hay fever, I was taking Claritin and feeling tired a lot. (a result of antihistamines) Anyway, while visiting my mother she had some freeze dried wheat grass (it was kamut brand I think) and she had been taking it for some other reason, but decided to quit. My dad wasn't going to be taking it, so I started taking it. Not even for my allergies, but just because I knew it was good for me. My allergies were gone and have never returned. I have sometimes given it to my children in homemade popsicles, it is very green and you can't really hide it, but it worked like a charm for us We have also had great success with Dr. Christopher's kid-e-soothe. It's hard to change your diet, and I don't know what to tell you. My kids aren't resistant, but my dh was raised in a family that ate all processed foods. I was raised in a family where we didn't eat ANY processed foods. So....I know how challenging it can be to have that difference in background Hugs! Guest guest
Vitamin C works wonders for allergies I have 3 kids, all have some kind of allergies, one with asthma, as long as they are taking at least a 1000 mg of Vit C they dont have near the trouble. TO help with icthing a warm bath with about 2 cups of baking soda and you can put a little apple cider vinegar in too. As far as the food mine have no choice they eat what we have in the house. They will eventually get use to it and quit complaining. Even my husband who was a die hard southern cooking fan(everything fried)doesnt complain anymore. My kids dont even really know what white bread is though. They like fresh veggies better then cooked. Just stick with it. Its hard to make changes but eventually you will! herbal remedies , " tam_russ " <tam_russ wrote: > > herbal remedies , " suzy0005 " <suzywaldron@> > wrote: > > > > Hi, > > > > I was wondering if someone could help.
