Guest guest
All of the previous suggestions work for me, but let me add a couple more hints: 1) Elevate your bed at the headboard. I raised mine 6 " with blocks. 2) Sleep on your left side 3) Trigger foods for me- dark chocolate, real peppermint, meat 4) Doc's cleanses will get your body back to normal and then continue to practice good eating habits. 5) Weight loss will help reflux Hey group, correct me if I am wrong, but I thought that reflux is caused by too little acid (imbalance) in the stomach making it more difficult to digest the food. So why take an antacid? Temporary relief? It does not cure reflux. ACV works great! Mixed with a little honey and water makes it go down easier. Be sure to rinse your mouth with water to protect your teeth. Cindy > For apnea, weightloss is the major treatment. As for reflux, try the following: > > 1) Do not eat at least 4 hrs before bed. > 2) Find your trigger foods (mine are tomato sauce based food (medium extent) and Pizza Hut Pizza (to a very large extent). > 3) Eat more alkaline foods. > 4) Take a low dose Calcium /magnesium supplement a couple hrs after your last meal. >
