Guest guest
I was a back seat passenger in a truck that went down an embankment and rolled twice at highway speed. I was laying down and did not have a seat belt on...which may have saved my life. However I did get deep glass cuts on my illiac crest and painful black bruising to the entire sacrum area. I was taken to the emergency room where they flushed the glass out of my back and stitched up two areas--right at the two bone at the top of the crest in the mid back area--one appeared indented and had a loose flap of skin. There was internal bleeding that puffed it up at the time. The wounds are still oozing blood, that is red and appears fresh and this happened 6 days ago. The question is....what can be done to help heal these cuts and bruises? I have been drinking an herbal tea: Yarrow calendula thyme hibiscus Rinsing the sores off with yarrow tea/or the tea above. Wiping off with aloe vera gel and ingesting aloe vera gel. I am not supposed to soak the sores while the stitches are still in. Does anyone have suggestions as to how to help heal these wounds and to prevent scarring....which the emergency room dr told me I would have.He gave me a bacitracin zinc ointment to put on the sores and an antibiotic, cephalexin 500mg. Much thanks in advance.
Guest guest
emu oil! It's used on burn victims and greatly reduces scarring. It can even minmize already exsisting scars. I use a mixture of emu oil, vit e oil and a drop or two of dmso. Hope this helps you. Guest guest
Vitamin E applied to the wounds will minimize scarring. Also taking Vitamin E will help. Guest guest
Also make sure you do the following: 1) use natural mixed tocopherols instead of synthetic Vit E. 2) The first 3 days take 200 IU with each meal then cut down to one 200 IU capsule once a day.
