Im a big guy, i play semi pro football on the offensive line and been a big supplement taker for years including fat burners and energy supplements. I guess that has taken its toll on me. Ive been taking prilosec the past 2 days and drinking apple cider vinegar which helps some. Its worse at night before bed and i sleep better sitting down because its almost like im having asthma. Then after your done eating have a swallow or two of Natural Acidophilus Culture. If you can't find n a c have some organic yugurt. If you have some apple slices and some herbal tea about an hour before bedtime this can help also. It's helped me alot. I not longer have heartburn. Good luck Kittioh, one more thing. As for reflux, try the following: 1) Do not eat at least 4 hrs before bed. 2) Find your trigger foods (mine are tomato sauce based food (medium extent) and Pizza Hut Pizza (to a very large extent). 3) Eat more alkaline foods. 4) Take a low dose Calcium /magnesium supplement a couple hrs after your last meal. Now i feel like i dont have it, maybe because of the prilosec and the vinegar. But now i have a headache by my temple forehead area on the sides . I do have sinus trouble and usually have to blow my nose 3 or 4 times a day but havent had to today at all. Wonder why.
