I have been creating and using my own medicines for many many years and they are most effective- but when my hernia ruptured (8 yrs ago) and my bowel was clearly sticking out through the opening - I opted for surgery,the one and only surgery I have ever submitted to. I would have been dead in 2 days without it. The general overall health stuff was a great preparation for surgery and certainly enhanced the recovery process - I was back on the job where heavy lifting is required in less than a week and no problems from it since. I love your group! There is much to learn even for an old hand. Reinforcement of things I already knew is wonderful too.
