Carrots are suppose to be quite alkaline on your system and there are reports of people with cancer drinking large amounts of carrot juice with positive results. (There have been a number of cases of lung cancer cures with people drinking 8 glasses of fresh carrot juice a day.)

I don't have cancer, but do drink a LOT of carrot juice, cant imagine drinking that much tho. Just make sure its made from organic carrots. Wow 16oz/day is about all my body will tolerate, but then Im not sick so perhaps thats the difference.
