Guest guest
Hi! My husband just found out he has cataracts in both eyes. It’s not serious yet, but it’s starting to affect his vision. He would like to know the following: 1) How much Eyebright Formula with added DMSO should he put in his eyes each day? 2) Can he use a dropper instead of an eyecup? Thank you! Guest guest
If you put it striaght in your eye you may go threw the ceiling. My Dad got rid of his cataracts by using the eye formula. Start out using 5 drops and distilled water in a eye cup and keep uping it from there (there is no upper limit) Do it as much as possible. Do it along with him!! You will see clearer as well. The fennel in the formula Shakespere used to put it in his his to brighten the whites and does that ever work, your whites will become brighter and the color will get more colorful and you will see clearer. Take it internally a couple times a day as well! (after time)When the formula seems to weak add more cayenne tincture to it! GinaCarole Eddington <caroleeddington wrote: Hi! Guest guest
Hi Gina, could this work for my doggies and their cataracts? Guest guest
You can use Eyebright on animals. Just be sure that you do not use it right out of the bottle unless the kind you get says to. Ours is very strong and you use only 1 drop in an eye cup and then fill the eye cup with distilled/purified water. If you then wanted to use a dropper, you would use a clean dropper and take the liquid from the eye cup mix. I usually dump the eye cup and start over the next time. Guest guest
Hi Carole. 1. One to three times a day, put 1 drop of Eyebright in a GLASS eye cup and fill the eye cup with distilled/purified water. Press the eye cup firmly against the eye and tip the head back attempting to open the eye. My eye does not open easily in water, so I put the cup down and tilt my head back again and open my eye lids to be sure some mixture gets in. He will know when it is in his eye because he will fell a slight sting. Do the other eye, empty the eye cup and rinse well. 2. Yes you can use a dropper but you would first have to dilute the Eyebright and use the diluted mixture in a clean dropper. If you have our Eyebright, it is much too strong to put directly into the eye. No damage just uncomfortable for about an hour. Stings like crazy. As an aside, do not be surprised if he wakes up with junk sealing his eyelids closed in the morning. This is not an eye infection. Just junk coming out of the eyes. Guest guest
Gina - I swim 2 or 3 hours everyday with the dog... when I come in I 'spritz' the Eyebright formula 10 -15 drops in about 1/4 cup distilled water in the sprayer/spritzer (well... this last spritzer I put in about 25 drops, same amount of distilled water... if something is good just add more right?!?!? (I ruin more recipes this way) >>>> owweee!). While I'm spritzing it burns/stings like the dickens - but after each eye has had 4 or 5 sprays... it makes my eyes water profusely so I figure – well, I HOPE - it’s cleaning out the chlorine (from the pool). I've been wanting to ask if you or anyone else who wants to jump in; sees this a big NEGATORY NO! NO! NO! or a GO! GO! GO! I don't want to ruin my eyes or anything so if I should stop I want to know. Guest guest
I would do what you are doing for sure. I'd use a glass spray bottle. How long are you leaving the mixture in the bottle? Only reason I'm asking is that I've found it separates and looks weird in the distilled water after 4 or 5 days. This is why I make it fresh each time I use it. Guest guest
What I did for my dog was put it in a squeeze bottle(already mixed w/ distilled water) and I would squirt it into her eye. The thing that I would consider is making your Dogs Food, it is easy and you wont believe the results. All you have to do is use a food processor and grind up your vegetable and fruit (you can even use the parts you are going to throw away) mix w/ raw meat then pour some warm water over making it into consistency of can dog food and watch them lap it down. For more calcium use eggs shell and grind into a fine powder, you can even add some oil to this. My last dog Corky, she always had trouble pooping and she would drag her but and barely anything would come out, so I took her to the vet and they said she needed her anal glands expressed, so we did that several times with no success so they removed them we were at the tune of $800, to the day she died she could never poop and dragged her butt. Now we got another basset hound same thing ( now I have much more knowledge with this dog then the last) I kept switching the dog food, to every kind imaginable at every health food store, pet store, still he couldn't poop and dragging his butt and finally I thought I better try making his dog food and instantly the next morning he had a normal poop, it wasn't coming out all runny and gooey like before. Our animals are no different then us, let food be thy medicine and medicine will be your food. Try it!! see what happens....Let me know if you do.......
