Hiya Dave,

I took about 1 c baking soda, added 20 drops tea tree and 15 drops lavender oils. Mixed well.

Sprinkled it on the carpet, taking care to get around the doorways thoroughly. Left it on for an hour and a half. (Keeping the cats locked well away from the treated area. If you want to do your whole house, I suggest treating different areas at a time, moving the cats around.) Vacuumed very well.

There is a residue, and a smell from the oils (clean smelling), but from observing my own pets its slight enough not to cause irritation.

Hope this is helpful. Do a search on "oils + fleas + your specific pet species", and you will likely find many more ideas/recipes.

We knocked out our first flea experience within days by doing the following;

Treated carpets with a baking soda/tea tree oil/lavender oil mixture. Lock the cats up for this as they are highly sensitive to many EOs.

Hello, can you be more specific on how to make the above formula?

Thank you,

Dave
