Nail Fungus...?...Natural Remedy Anyone?

I soaked my toe with a medicine dropper, using it to suck up the alcohol out of the bottle, then dousing my toe with it. I kept a towel under my foot to catch any spillage. However, we were all just reminded that using rubbing alcohol is not a good idea so I'm going to stop that and go to tea tree oil or maybe another of the remedies suggested in this thread. Mitch Deena <haramor wrote: How do you soak your big toe in a medicine dropper? Do you mean that you just pour alcohol over your toe? If you do soak it - how long do you do it for?I took someone else's suggestion about a month ago and have been using tiger balm for a month - morning and evening. I haven't noticed a difference yet but I was thinking about doing something else in addition (like rubbing alcohol) just to speed the process along. any opinions on if that is a good/bad idea? What are the directions for rubbing alcohol for nail fungus? Thanks,Deenaherbal remedies , Mitch Mitchell <b25mitchellman wrote:>> I use a medicine dropper to soak my big toe nail with> rubbing alcohol every morning and evening. Yes, tea tree oil has definitely worked for my family. It is anti-fungal *and* anti-bacterial, so we also use it for general cuts and scrapes. Some fungi can be resistant to one treatment or another, so alternating two treatments regularly for a couple weeks might be a good idea. Lavender oil, oregano oil, and pau-d-arco are also good fungicides. I really thought it was cool to read (somewhere) that oils are good for nail fungus because they can seep into the nail bed easier... that made good sense to me :-) Fungus has been a very popular topic lately! Another tip for fungus is to keep the affected area dry as much as possible. You can wash the area, but dry it well ASAP.

it will be gone before you know it! best wishes!jillOn 8/13/06, Mitch Mitchell <b25mitchellman

Jill, Thanks for the reminder. I'm going to switch over to tea tree oil, which seems to be successful with others in this group.
