Guest guest
On Tuesday I noticed a very painful lump in my armpit. After a little research and based on size and shape, I have decided it is a lymph node. I searched the archives here immediately. Then on Thursday, another one *popped up*. Today there is another one. I am really starting to freak out! I started hydrotherapy right away, but it is a PITA since I don't have a shower wand. It is possible to achieve the same results without the water, with a heating pad and an ice pack? How long should I maintain each temperature before switching to the next? I do not have a rebounder, but I do walk two miles a day, five times a week and chase a toddler every day. I have an exercise bike, would that work? Is the point of the rebounder just to get the blood flowing? The only difference I can think of is that I have been gorging myself on fresh tomatoes from the garden. I have consumes at least 50 in the last week, juiced, in salads, or in homemade pasta sauce. All of the *chemicals* used on the garden and lawn are organic, so there would be no pesticide residue from that, but I do live fairly close to a BP refinery which I know emits some nasty garbage. I have been making so many healthier choices since the year began, and I am drinking lots of water. I do not eat wheat in any form and I rarely have sugar. I take no medications, aside from an herbal preparation or homeopathic. I don't feel *sick*, just the pain from the lumps. I am limited in the what I can do right now, as I am breastfeeding my daughter, so cleanses are out of the question. I certainly do not want to visit a medico because I know the answer will be removal of the lymph nodes in the area. This is not an option because lymphedema (and cutting out part of my body to boot) scares me! I noticed that the affected arm is slightly larger than the other, but it could be my imagination. I was thinking of increasing Vitamin C intake, to assist in flushing out the lymph system, would this be beneficial? Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated!
