Guest guest
Hello. I am 30 years old and have a UTI for the first time in my life and it sucks! LOL Anyway, I am pretty sure I know what caused it. The only thing that has changed in my life recently is my boyfriend. What can I do now to prevent myself from getting UTIs in the future? I hope this isn't too much information but I'm pretty sure it occured because he is irritating me in a way no other man I've been with has...he is, um, considerably larger then any other guy I've been with and I'm thinking it's causing a lot of extra irritation so now I feel like I have to pee every 5 minutes and it burns a little and I just feel generally uncomfortable. Anything I can do to help this or will my body just get used to him on its own? Ally
Guest guest
To get rid of the UTI, drink alot of water and take about 2000mg of Vit C every day. Considering other things, your body will adapt to his size. Ally <allysgroups wrote: Hello. I am 30 years old and have a UTI for the first time in my life and it sucks! Guest guest
Hi Ally, I'm glad you posted- it wasn't TMI for me. I just had my very first UTI a couple of months ago, and, well, I am in a very similiar situation to yours evidently. I hadn't thought it was a contributing factor, but after reading your post I think you are correct. LOL ! Lucky us! I tried uva ursi, cranberry capsules, unsweetened cranberry juice, and low sugar diet, and it did help- but it didn't work all the way for me. I think I was on 3 capsules per day of goldenseal too. After 10 days or so, my ND said I could continue on or do antibiotics. I was unnerved at the possibility of damage to my kidneys, so I took the antibiotics. So I too am wondering what else I could have done to avoid them. She also told me he should make sure he washed right before every future intimate event. I toss that in for what it is worth- we use condoms, so I don't know if the extra hygiene would have made much of a difference. She also said to make sure I drink more water, all the time. What does make a difference for me for sure is use of good, nonchemical lube (Firefly, Oh My, or virgin coconut oil) steering clear of latex, and keeping that delicate area healed up. So far I have had good luck inserting various herbs vaginally to support the PH and all. Alternating aloe gel, acidolphilus capsules, ester-C powder, boric acid capsules, and organic lemon juice. Also organic garlic cloves. I grate the outer portion of the clove and then coat it with a little olive oil before insertion. I have heard garlic could burn without coating with some oil. Remember boric acid is toxic if take by mouth- it can only be inserted into the vagina. Also boric acid- which is cheap at the drug store in big bottles- is NOT borax. I have been inserting a little sea sponge with liquid herbals to hold everything up there for a few hours to do its job. Best to do that at night of course, just in case. Even at all this, I have noticed a small 'rough spot' down there that I never had before- I only mention that because sometimes those are misdiagnosed as something weird like warts. It's just from all the ...activity. I hope someone else writes in with more ideas, because I want to know all about solving this as much as you do. -Cerise Hello.
