Guest guest
She is 19 months old and is always constipated. What can I do to help her with this problem? It does not matter what kind of stuff I give her she is always constipated. It is soooo bad that she screams when she has a bowel movement.www.myspace.com/sapphyretattoo Everything happens for a reason. How low will we go? Check out Messenger’s low PC-to-Phone call rates. For her, it was because we started eating more dairy, but I didn't connect it at the time - she had just started using the potty & I thought that that was the issue (holding on too long). I had read how raw dairy is actually good for you, unlike pasteurised, so we starting eating lots of dairy every day - previously had yoghurt & a small amount of cheese maybe once a week. We gave up grains, which improved our health, but still the screaming constipation. Then we gave up dairy - magic. So I would suggest a food allergy / intolerance. To help dd to 'go' I gave her epsom salts (about 1/2 teaspoon IIRC), dissolved in hot water & sweetened with lots of honey & a squeeze of lemon or vit c - 1 teaspoon ascorbic acid, 1/2 teaspoon baking soda in a glass of water (add a little water, wait for the fizz to settle then add more water & a squeeze of lemon too). I tried to remember to give her the drink every day, to keep her stools soft - if I forgot, then it would be painful the next time for her.
