Guest guest
Hi Skeeter- We have it everywhere are where I live as well…however, some if it has already bloomed and some of it is just beginning…depending upon the altitude and temperature where I go to get it. In reading on it, the leaves, flowers and roots are all used, but the flower oil is a traditional earache remedy. I have always gathered the whole top of the plant that has the flowers and then just picked them off of there, don’t know if that is the correct way or not. Then I gather the leaves and dry them, and dig up the root and chop it up. This year I am actually hoping to be able to get enough to do some distilling with the flowers, but I rather doubt it. Good luck!
